The crazed creep who nearly killed a woman by pushing her into a speeding R train claims he was so drunk at the time he didn't remember anything that happened.

"I don't remember; I just remember waking up in the hospital. I don't know how I got there," José Rojas, 25, told The Post in the Manhattan House of Corrections yesterday.

Rojas, who lives in The Bronx, said the last thing he remembers was leaving work as a pasta maker at Cipriani Wednesday and heading down to a bodega, where he downed many beers with friends. After that, everything was foggy.

So foggy in fact, that he freaked out when The Post told him details of what cops say he did to 39-year-old victim Ute Linhart, who was left with multiple broken bones and a punctured lung after she was slammed into the side of a moving train at 23rd Street.

"Oh my God, my life is over!" he declared.

The Mexican immigrant has been in this country for four years, and said he had never been in trouble with the law before.

"Please understand what I'm trying to tell you. All I remember is waking up in the hospital handcuffed."

Though he was arraigned, he said no one has told him details of what happened, including the seriousness of the injuries to Linhart.

Rojas faces charges of attempted murder and assault.

The madman accused of shoving a fashion designer into the path of a Manhattan subway train started that day cooking up veal and calves liver at Cipriani Downtown, co-workers said yesterday.

"We're really quite shocked. He's a nice guy. Always very quiet," one manager, who asked his name not be used, said of suspect Jose Rojas.

"He was a good guy, a good worker. We didn't notice anything."

Rojas, 25, is charged with attempted murder for allegedly shoving Ute Linhart, 39, creative director of the fashion firm Bravado, into an oncoming train at the 28th Street R-train station at around 8 p.m. Wednesday.

A Cipriani spokesperson said Rojas had been there for about a year, and had no disciplinary record.

The cook, who has no other record, was intoxicated and allegedly told cops that he doesn't know why he did it.

At the time of his arrest, he told cops, "My name is Osama bin Laden! F - - k you!"

He pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and assault and is being held without bail.

When I saw the title of this post, I thought it was for Subway Sandwich Shop and that I'd have to boycott them too. I really don't want to give up $5 Footlongs.

Oh Yea. This guy's a winner. Cops just love it when someone says that to them...
I would never be so arrogant as to move to another country and expect them to change for me.

I think that when a business is mentioned by name in anything like this they need to hear the "Wrath" of the American people?

I will give my good wishes to the employer - but for the job he had he would not be here, be able to stay here, or be able to buy the alcohol to get juiced up. It sounds like there may be more than just alcohol involved and I hope the hospital did a drug screen.

I wish they would also provide the name of the "bodega" that served his senseless. I would like to also send good wishes for a long and prosperous business future.

Too bad he didn't push the Ford Foundation CEO. They are the ones who made La Raza a national organization, and started MALDEF.
