History repeats itself!!!!!! Ironic Similarities


CARPETBAGGERS [carpetbaggers] epithet used in the South after the Civil War to describe Northerners who went to the South during Reconstruction to make money. Although regarded as transients because of the carpetbags in which they carried their possessions (hence the name carpetbaggers ), most intended to settle in the South and take advantage of speculative and commercial opportunities there. With the support of the black vote the carpetbaggers played an important role in the Republican state governments. The corrupt activities of some made the term carpetbagger synonymous with any outsider who meddles in an area's political affairs for his own benefit.

history does repeat itself ... what we are see now is the American Revolution and the unCivil War all rolled into one ... we need to declare our independence from Mexico and foreign control and make that perfectly clear to every Congressmen and every state

You know what? I actually heard someone the other day say the words succession, besides the Freedman group. I guess it's an option. Succeed form the Union so we can kick them out. What a mess. Hope it doesn’t get to that point.

Maybe that's a rummor we can start in the Mexican market place. LOL

the south seceeded because they had no other choice -- they were the minority and the federal government was ruining them economically. The federal government is ruining us socially and economically, but we have other options if the states would just stand up and quit playing dead.

I wonder what would happen if the illegals thought the states were going to seceed and they wouldn't have federal benefits any more
