The Catholic Campaign for Immigration Reform

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops devotes a considerable section of website information to "The Catholic Campaign for Immigration Reform" They tell us:

    "A JOURNEY OF HOPE

"The labor, values, and beliefs of immigrants from throughout the world have transformed the United States from a loose group of colonies into one of the leading democracies in the world."

Before responding to this misleading statement, please read the following summary of what REALLY happened to "transform the United States from a loose group of (exclusively English) colonies" into a self-governing nation based on a representative democratic form of government unique at that time to the Western world!

    "CONTINENTAL CONGRESS

"The Continental Congress was A CONVENTION OF DELEGATES from the THIRTEEN COLONIES that became THE GOVERNING BODY of the UNITED STATES during the American Revolution. The Congress met from 1774 to 1789 in three incantations. (caps mine)

    "FIRST CONTINENTAL CONGRESS

"The First Continental Congress, which met briefly in Philadelphia in 1774, consisted of 56 delegates from twelve of the Thirteen Colonies that would become the United States.

    "SECOND CONTINENTAL CONGRESS

"By the time the Second Continental Congress met in 1775, shooting in the American Revolutionary War (1775-1783) had begun. ... (This) Congress established the Continental Army (June 1775), coordinated the war effort, ISSUED A DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE in July 1776, and DESIGNED A NEW GOVERNMENT in the ARTICLES OF CONFEDERATION, which were ratified in 1781. (caps mine)

    "CONFEDERATION CONGRESS

"The ratification of the Articles of Confederation gave the Congress a new name: the CONGRESS OF THE CONFEDERATION, which met from 1781 to 1789. ... WHEN THE ARTICLES (of Confederation) were replaced by the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION, the CONFEDERATION CONGRESS was superseded by the UNITED STATES CONGRESS. " (caps mine)

    The Catholic Bishops continue their

    "JOURNEY OF HOPE"

"Our common faith...is a faith that transcends borders...."

"This website is designed to help achieve the goals of the 'Justice for Immigrants' Campaign'. It provides tools and information for diocesan and community-based organizing, education, and advocacy efforts. You will find information about catholic teachings that underpin this Campaign, as well as proposals FROM THE CATHOLIC BISHOPS TO ACHIEVE REFORMS IN OUR NATION'S IMMIGRATION LAWS AND POLICIES that BETTER REFLECT OUR VALUES AS A NATION OF IMMIGRANTS."

With all due respect to all those who came here from all around the world to make outstanding contributions, the United States is, in fact, first and foremost a nation of former British colonists whose independence and self-govenment was based on a social contract between the government and the governed which was unique to Western World at that time!

    The Bishops conclude:

"We encourage you to visit this site often, as we will be updating it frequently with resource materials, action alets, and other information we hope you will find useful."

    Then they encourage people to:

"Justice for Immigrants: A Journey of Hope
Since when are Catholic bishops and priests in the business of providing justice? I thought their main job was to provide spiritual guidance. Seems their politicism has taken over the church.

This is one of the reasons the Catholic church is losing funds. Aiding and abetting illegal aliens and pedophile priests will turn off law-abiding members.

    They have no shame.

Since Catholic leaders generally CAN'T seem to DISTINGUISH legal from ILLEGAL immigration, I DON'T put money in the Sunday Mass collection plate anymore--I give to fellow Catholic and American patriot Mr. Joe Loya, father-in-law of unjustly imprisoned Border Patrol agent Ignacio Ramos! THESE good people DESERVE support! So does my Brazilian friend. I've let lots of my LOCAL fellow Catholic American patriots in on this, too, and some of them are ALSO contributing! The place to send donations is:

Although my family tree contains some distinguished bishops and archbishops, and granddad was in church every morning, my late father decided not to bring me up that way. As a curious kid with no exposure to a major religion, I did a lot of reading and research on my own. What I found was that the church banned growing roses (a symbol of heathens) until Eleanor of Acquitaine grew an entire garden of them. Then it became acceptable.
The Udmurts in present day Russia really didn't like the prospect of being forced into Christianity, so they moved:
In the ancient times Udmurts lived on the territory of the contemporary Kirov region and Tatarstan. Escaping from interethnic conflicts and attempts of violent Christianization which increased after the conquest of the Kazan Khanate, the Udmurts moved further to the East and North, stepping back from the banks of the largest rivers. The poetic paganism of the Udmurt people was based on the idolization of phenomena of the Nature and worshipping many Gods.

The church is extremely rich, something which does not have to be disclosed and it seems to like to meddle in politics.
"It was the Vatican’s program that dominated the Republican Party platform and presidential campaign in 1996, although Ralph Reed and the Christian coalition claimed the credit."

Not to be critical but I find the well-documented history and roots of today's Catholic church absolutely fascinating.

If the Catholic Bishops really want "justice for immigrants" why are they so in favor of sending African refugees back---when they try to cross into Europe? They are just looking for power and the biggest teat to milk...

I'll never forget my junior year in a catholic high school when I was required to take "Social Justice" and "Morality". That's when I found out that the catholic church is intrinsically anti-American and has been pushing its own special brand of "communitarian socialism" since Vatican II. To socialists, illegal aliens are "useful idiots" who can help their cause so it's a no-brainer for the socialist catholic church to support the illegal invasion here in the U.S.. It also doesn't hurt that most of the invaders are catholics...

My Grand Father who was an old time Baptist minister from Kentucky used to tell us that the Pope and the catholic church aimed to take over in America and was pushing an agenda that would accomplish it.I used to think he was just an old fashioned hillbilly and laughed off his claims. But it does appear that indeed the Catholic church does have an agenda.I guess my Grandfather in a sense was more right then wrong.

The Catholic Church just can't seem to keep their political mouths shut. For this they need to lose all tax exempt status in the USA.

This church is NOT interested in helping anyone but the church. They need a congregation of ignorant, poorly educated people to keep their coffers full and to remain powerful in the minds of such people. Those kind of people were becoming few and far between in the USA until this invasion.

Most Americans are on to the Catholic church, it's degenerate priests and it's archaic, border line pegan practices. They were losing their influence in the USA. If the church was actually concerned about the plight of the Mexican people, they would be sending more of their clergy there to minister to these people, but they'd have to give up the cushy lifestyles, running water, indoor toilets, police protection, etc. that they've grown accustomed to and they obviously aren't willing to do that, so they'd rather have the third world come here to be taken advantage of.

If the Catholic church is so concerned about poor immigrants, perhaps the Pope should divest himself and the church of the millions of dollars in real estate and artwork and spend the money on welfare for illegals programs.
