JOHN FUND: John Fund joined the Wall Street Journal in April 1984 as deputy editorial features editor. He became an editorial page writer specializing in politics and government in October 1986 and was a member of the Journal's editorial board from 1995 through 2001. John Fund worked as a research analyst for the California State legislature in Sacramento before joining his journalism career in 1982 as a reporter for the syndicated columnists Rowland Evans and Robert Novak. In 1993, he received the Warren Brookes Award for journalistic excellence from the American Legislative Exchange Council. He and former Pennsylvania Rep. James K. Coyne are co-authors of the book "Cleaning House: America's Campaign for Term Limits" (Regency Gateway, 1992). John attended California State University where he studied journalism and economics. He writes the weekly "On the Trail" column for Opinion Journal.com. He is the author of "Stealing Elections: How Voter Fraud Threatens Our Democracy" (Encounter, 2004).

MILES S. RAPOPORT: Miles Rapoport has been President of Demos for six years. Prior to joining Demos, Miles spent 15 years in Connecticut politics. He served ten years in the Connecticut legislature, from 1985-1994. As a state legislator, he chaired the Committee on Elections, and was a leading member of the Finance Committee. In 1994, he was elected as Secretary of the State of Connecticut. As Secretary of the State from 1995-1998, he was an energetic advocate for a vibrant and inclusive democracy, including voter registration, youth civic engagement, and campaign finance reform. His office released two unique reports on the "State of Democracy in Connecticut". His articles have appeared in national magazines and newspapers. He was the founder and Executive Director of the Connecticut Citizen Action Group. Currently, Rapoport serves on the Boards of Northeast Action, the Center for Policy Alternatives, Kids Voting USA, and the Paul J. Aicher Foundation.
