CBS: Obamacare Launch 'Nothing Short of Disastrous'
CBS: Obamacare Launch 'Nothing Short of Disastrous'

CBS This Morning says the government's Obamacare launch has been "nothing short of disastrous" and that media outlets "have struggled to find anyone who has actually been successful" in signing up for President Barack Obama's signature legislative healthcare overhaul.
USA Today calls the Obamacare tech meltdown an "inexcusable mess" and a "nightmare."
The Obama Administration originally blamed its failed Obamacare exchanges, which cost taxpayers $634 million, on the fact that healthcare.gov received 8 million hits in the first week. However, a September 30th White House tweet quoting Obama directly reveals that the Administration was expecting "tens of millions of Americans" to visit the government's website on the same day:
The White House--Obama: "Tomorrow, tens of millions of Americans will be able to visit HealthCare.gov to shop for affordable health coverage." --Sept. 30thCBS interviewed online database programmer Luke Chung who said even though he supports Obamacare, the website "wasn't designed well, it wasn't implemented well, and it looks like nobody tested it."
Chung added that the federal government's Obamacare website "is not even close. It's not even ready for beta testing for my book. I would be ashamed and embarrassed if my organization delivered something like that."
Speaker John Boehner blasted the Obamacare tech debacle on Wednesday.
"How can we tax people for not buying a product from a website that doesn't work?" asked Boehner.
Obamacare will cost taxpayers $2.6 trillion over the next 10 years.
