Officials on Friday identified the suspected shooter of conservative political activist Charlie Kirk as Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old Utah man, following his arrest overnight.

Robinson has been booked at the Utah County Jail, Gov. Spencer Cox announced at a news conference.

The announcement of Robinson's arrest came after President Donald Trump revealed earlier Friday morning on Fox News that Kirk's suspected killer was in custody.

Kirk was fatally shot on Wednesday during an outdoor event at Utah Valley University.

The president said on Fox of Kirk's killer, "I hope he gets the death penalty."

Cox said at the press event that a friend of Robinson's family told the sheriff's office in Utah's Washington County on Thursday evening that Robinson had either confessed or "implied that he had committed this incident."

When investigators encountered Robinson in person early Friday morning, he was wearing clothing consistent with what UVU surveillance footage showed when it captured him driving onto campus before the shooting, the governor said.

A family member told investigators in an interview that Robinson had "become more political in recent years," Cox said.

The Republican governor also identified the gun police found in a wooded area where the gunman fled after shooting Kirk as a Mauser model 98 .30-06 caliber bolt-action rifle with a mounted scope.

Several casings found with the rifle had been engraved with messages, some of which appear to reference online memes and video games, Cox said.

One unfired casing was inscribed, "hey fascist! CATCH!"

While the governor said he would leave it to others to interpret what the engravings mean, he said that one "speaks for itself."

That casing also showed a series of directional arrows, which could be a reference to the button input pattern that triggers a large bomb strike in the video game Helldivers 2.

Another casing's inscription referenced a meme that parodies online subcultures.

"This is a very sad day" for the country, "but I'm grateful that at this moment, we have an opportunity to bring closure to this very dark chapter in our nation's history," Cox said.

Kirk, 31, was the founder of conservative group Turning Point USA, which focuses its political activism on high schools and colleges. He was at UVU in Orem for the first stop on Turning Point's "American Comeback Tour," according to the group's website.

Kirk was in the middle of answering an audience member's question, which was about mass shootings, when a gunman shot him once in the neck, sending thousands of people running and screaming for safety.

While the manhunt was ongoing, the FBI on Thursday released two grainy photos of a "person of interest" and video footage showing someone jumping off the rooftop from where Kirk was shot.

The FBI offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the killer's arrest.

Harvard University has rescinded its offer of admission to Kyle Kashuv, a Parkland survivor and conservative teen activist due to racist comments he made several years ago in group chats with other Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School students.

And, there are some other examples, but, not a lot, and you really do not get the cancelling over death threats from the Right, because there just aren’t that many. Cancel culture has run rampant on the Left, even against their own, and now they’re getting a taste of it from the right

People are getting fired for allegedly celebrating Charlie Kirk’s murder. It looks like a coordinated effort



Dozens of social media posts and messages about the murder of Charlie Kirk, including some that celebrated his death, are being spotlighted by conservative activists, Republican elected officials and a doxxing website as part of an online campaign to punish the posters behind the messages.

Prominent far-right influencer Laura Loomer, a US senator, and a site called “Expose Charlie’s Murderers” have all drawn attention to people who have posted messages about Kirk’s Wednesday assassination.

The campaigns show how social media posts or personal messages — even by accounts with few followers or from people who are not public figures — could easily be surfaced and publicized, and people’s personal information can be spread across the internet at a time when doxxing is easier than ever.

The Charlie’s Murderers site, whose domain was registered anonymously and which says it is not a doxxing site, claims it has “received nearly 30,000 submissions,” according to a message on the site’s front page on midday Saturday. Currently, there are a few dozen submissions published on the site. “This website will soon be converted into a searchable database of all 30,000 submissions, filterable by general location and job industry. This is a permanent and continuously-updating archive of Radical activists calling for violence.”

I mean, Loomer is a nutball, but, these posts are not “alleged”: they’re real.

The Police Found Messages After Kirk’s Killing. What They Mean Is Unclear.



When investigators in the killing of Charlie Kirk found a bolt-action rifle near the site where he was shot on a Utah campus, they said they also found casings scrawled with what seemed to be mysterious messages.

One read, “Hey fascist! CATCH! (up arrow symbol, right arrow symbol, and three down arrow symbols),” according to an affidavit filed on Friday in a Utah court.

If the reference to fascism appeared to be straightforward, the arrows were most likely understandable only to certain subsets of gamers. They seem to refer to the popular video game Helldivers 2 and its sequence of controller moves to unleash a powerful bomb.

“It’s a joke in the Helldivers community that you can shut down any argument you disagree with by entering ^ > vvv and blowing the whole thing up,” Steve Iannelli, 38, a mechanical engineer and experienced player of the game who lives in Baltimore, said in an email.

So ... the meaning is pretty damned clear to everyone else but the three NY Times idiots who wrote this. Did they also write the headline, or, was that an editor? Maybe they’re just trying to avoid mentioning that Democrats, from elected to the chattering class to the peasants, led by Credentialed Media outlets like the NY Times, have been calling Trump and anyone around him Fascists?

The messages found on the casings — including puerile jokes and a reference to a popular Italian song — are rooted in that coded communication style of the habitually online.

Even the reference to fascism has a clear echo in Helldivers 2, a satirical science fiction game in which the player battles an alien invasion on behalf of an Earth that is ruled by a thinly veiled fascistic government.

Nice try. Robinson simply used messages from online in the same way people repeat lines from TV shows and movies. I use many in real life, like, “don’t want none, don’t start none” from The Losers. “If ifs and buts were candies and nuts we’d all have a great Christmas” from Wings. “People aren’t wearing enough hats” from Monty Python’s Meaning Of Life. And others. Those of us who live in Reality Land know exactly what the Fascist message means

But these messages are difficult to parse. Internet in-jokes and references are slippery things, often deployed with multiple layers of irony. That left many Americans trying to crack the enigmatic messages: Was Mr. Robinson a man of the left or of the right, or something else entirely?

In a news conference on Friday morning, Gov. Spencer Cox of Utah, a Republican, said that the phrase “hey fascist! CATCH!” clearly showed the gunman’s intent. “I think that speaks for itself,” he said.

But even that message, which many on the right believed placed Mr. Robinson on the far left, may not be a reliable signpost to the suspect’s political beliefs.

They’re really trying this?

Mr. Rivera said he did not know whether Mr. Robinson had political views. According to the affidavit, investigators interviewed one of his family members, who said that Mr. Robinson had “become more political in recent years.”

They forgot to mention

(UK Independent) Robinson reportedly expressed negative views of Kirk and had spoken with a family member the day before the shooting “who also stated Kirk was full of hate and spreading hate,” Cox said

Why did the Times forget that?

Then there was the message that read, “O Bella ciao, Bella ciao, Bella ciao, Ciao, ciao!,” likely a reference to the popular Italian folk song “Bella Ciao.” Popularized as an antifascist anthem in Italy after World War II, it resurfaced globally in recent years because of its inclusion in the hit Netflix series “Money Heist” and in video games, including the first-person shooter game Far Cry 6.

The song is still well-known as antifascist. It was sung as a protest last year by progressive members of the European Parliament during a visit by Viktor Orban, Hungary’s far-right prime minister.

Yeah yeah yeah, the leftards have been calling themselves anti-Fascists since the 1st Trump term. The message is clear. Except in Liberal World. If the big shots in the Dem party are going to call Trump and all Republicans Fascists, Nazis, etc, and say that “Democracy Is On The Line!!!!” constantly, you’re going to get results.

Two “Utah Men” Arrested For Trying To Blow Up Bomb Near Where Charlie Kirk Was Murdered

A Magna man has been arrested on multiple charges related to weapons of mass destruction and the threat of terrorism after a federal investigation led to the evacuation of multiple homes in the area on Friday. The investigation followed the discovery of an explosive located underneath a news media vehicle in Salt Lake City.
Adeeb Nasir, 58, was arrested in Salt Lake County on Sunday on two counts of weapon of mass destruction – manufacture/possess/sell/use, a first-degree felony; attempted aggravated arson, a first-degree felony; four counts of explosive/chemical/incendiary – possessing parts, second and third-degree felonies; and two counts of threat of terrorism – use of weapon/hoax mass destruction, a second-degree felony.
On Sept. 12, members of the Salt Lake City Police Bomb Squad and Unified Fire Authority Arson/Bomb Squad responded to a suspicious device located in Salt Lake City. The device — an incendiary device — had reportedly been placed underneath a news media vehicle parked next to an occupied building.
The device had reportedly been lit but failed to function as designed, police said. Authorities confirmed that it was determined the incendiary device was real.

That’s a weird Mormon name. The other is Adil Justice Ahme Nasir, 31

Both suspects, including Adeeb Nasir, were found at the residence and arrested. Squad members cleared the home and found two hoax weapons of mass destruction inside, along with two firearms and illegal narcotics.
When questioned about the devices, both suspects reportedly told police that they were real. As a result, all law enforcement personnel executing the search warrant evacuated the residence and began proper procedure to dispose of the devices. Neighboring homes were also evacuated.
“The initial FBI search warrant authorized the seizure of evidence specifically related to the incendiary devices,” arrest documents state. “However, during the course of executing that warrant, law enforcement personnel observed additional contraband and evidence of crimes outside the scope of the original warrant, to include firearms and firearm-related items, explosives and explosive-related components, illegal narcotics and associated paraphernalia, as well as electronic devices reasonably believed to contain evidence of the above-described crimes.”

Hmm

Due to use of illegal drugs, Adeeb is a restricted person with a protective order against him that prevents him from possessing firearms. The second suspect, identified as “Adil,” is also a restricted person due to illegal narcotic use.

What’s the over/under that they are either illegal aliens/fake asylum seekers or refugees let in? I mean, it’s not like Utah is a hotbed of Islamic people.

What Charlie Kirk Predicted About “Assassination Culture” Will Chill You To The Core

We live at a time when our society is absolutely teeming with left-wing nuts. The day after Charlie Kirk was assassinated, shots were fired at the University of Massachusetts and at the U.S. Naval Academy. In this hate-filled environment, every school, every church, and every political gathering is a potential target. It wasn’t like this when I was growing up. In the 1980s, I never imagined for a single moment that someone would come into my school or my church and start shooting. But now we live in a society where violence could literally erupt at any moment.

It isn’t just a few radicalized individuals that believe that politically-motivated violence is justified.
Sadly, surveys have discovered that we have reached a point where literally millions upon millions of Americans think that politically-motivated violence is at least somewhat justified.
On April 7th of this year, Charlie Kirk drove this point home in a tweet in which he warned that “assassination culture is spreading on the left”…

Just think about those numbers for a moment.
We are talking about approximately half of all “left of center” Americans.
That is tens of millions of people.
How are we supposed to have a civilized society when that many people are convinced that politically-motivated violence is at least partially justified?
I am not exaggerating when I warn that a lot more violence is coming.
This isn’t the country that we grew up in anymore.
There are a couple of other old Charlie Kirk tweets that I wanted to share with you.
In 2013, Charlie shared something truly poignant about what happens when good men die…

That is so true.
Charlie Kirk was a good man, and he will not be forgotten.
In 2016, Charlie posted something on Twitter that is ringing so true at this moment in time…

I have been deeply encouraged by how so many patriots are choosing to remember Charlie Kirk.
On the flip side, I have been absolutely horrified by how many on the left have been celebrating his death.

There is one video clip that is apparently from the Los Angeles area where a radical leftist is seen leading chants of “we got Charlie in the neck”…

A leftist celebrated the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk in a video that is making the rounds online.
The clip posted early Thursday shows a young man with a megaphone standing near a roadway while chanting, “We got Charlie in the neck!” while others at the scene clapped. He then appeared to shout, “Who’s up next?” to which people at the scene seemed to reply, “DHS!”

When I watched footage of this chanting, it absolutely disgusted me.

Of course there has been a tremendous outpouring of hatred on social media as well.
In the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s death, many BlueSky users were suggesting prominent conservatives that should be assassinated next. The following are some of the examples that Zero Hedge posted earlier today…

I don’t even have the words to express how evil these leftists have become.
We are talking about the kind of people that would hunt down their enemies and slaughter them without hesitation if they had the opportunity.
When I warn my readers that our nation is more deeply divided than it has ever been before, I mean it.

The hatred that we are witnessing is off the charts.
These people don’t even care what happens to Charlie Kirk’s young children.
If you doubt this, just consider what a prominent “comedian” named Darius Dinkins is saying about Charlie Kirk’s death…

“I’m already seeing some of you all do it—that whole moral standpoint of, “Oh, I don’t care how you feel politically. Nobody deserves to…” Wrong. Some people do deserve to. He was a demon. Why do you all do this? Why do you all pretend to feel sad when a karmically deserved outcome hits someone who is evil? I don’t get it. I don’t understand.
“Oh, he had a family.” You know who else had families? Every single victim of the mass shootings that he’s repeatedly defended—the school shootings, the children of mass shootings that he’s excused, saying essentially they’re just collateral.
“Oh, he has kids. He has daughters.” You know what he said about his daughter? He said that he would force his daughter to give birth to the result of an assault if she got pregnant from it, and force her—even if she wanted to get rid of it. He would force her. They were going to hate him later anyway.

Why do people think like that?
It is because they have been trained to think like that.

And these hate-filled people often occupy high positions in our society…

An assistant dean at Middle Tennessee State University was fired after posting “inappropriate and callous comments,” about the murder of Charlie Kirk, the school’s president said in a Facebook post.
The employee was not identified in the post but U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., on social media identified her as Laura Sosh-Lightsy.
The post by Sosh-Lightsy said, “Looks like ol’ Charlie spoke his fate into existence,” she wrote. “Hate begets hate. ZERO sympathy,” according to Blackburn’s post.

This particular hate-filled individual may have lost her job, but there are countless others just like her.
For years, I have been writing about where all of this hate is taking us.
But my warnings have largely fallen on deaf ears.
We aren’t supposed to hate others.
We are supposed to love others.
Unfortunately, the civil unrest that we are witnessing now is going to get a lot worse.
And it can literally erupt just about anywhere.
On Wednesday night, a candlelight vigil that was being held for Charlie Kirk in Boise, Idaho ended in a violent brawl…

Members of the Utah House of Representatives hosted a vigil at the Idaho State Capitol in the hours after his death. The evening saw a moment of silence, prayers, and a series of patriotic chants in honor of Kirk. However, the event erupted in chaos when a violent brawl broke out.

Apparently the brawl erupted because a crazed leftist insulted Charlie Kirk as he came riding through the area on his motorcycle…

The website Jezebel has released a statement after paying witches to put a curse on conservative activist Charlie Kirk – just two days before he was shot and killed Wednesday at a Utah college event.
An article published on September 8 was titled ‘We Paid Some Etsy Witches to Curse Charlie Kirk’.
As news trickled in of Kirk’s assassination on Wednesday, the left-leaning website issued a statement clarifying the timing of the post.

Now they are trying to distance themselves from what happened to Charlie Kirk.
But the kind of inflammatory rhetoric that left-wing media outlets are constantly spewing helped to fuel the flames of hatred that ultimately led to Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
It must stop.
We don’t have to agree with one another to love one another.
If we continue to travel down the road that we are currently on, there is no hope for us.
A house that is divided will surely fall, and right now we are more divided than we have ever been.
