Chart of house prices vs. building costs

Check out this chart of house prices vs. building costs.

    http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/95/2 ... ller.0.jpg

You can see how prices have jumped up partly due to higher demand (the population line is way off, we now have 320 million people in the USA)

But building costs have dropped over the past 20 years as contractors have employed more illegal aliens!

In other words, house builders are making out like bandits!

William, this would be a good chart to show next time some globalist like Rick Sanchez talks about "all the construction jobs illegals are doing".

We started a new sub-division about 5 years ago, the average price of a house in there was about $160,000, we did the last house in the addition last month and the average price of the same house is now $200.000+ but meanwhile the price for my trade has remained the same......

Bowman. As you know we have MANY illegals building our houses here in Mexifornia -- probably more than any other state.......and as you also know, housing in California is practically unaffordable. That is why I roll my eyes every time someone claims we are saving so much on illegal labor. Those savings go directly in the pocket of the developers. As with all other forms of production, employment costs are a small factor and dertiminant in price. This is a typical globalist lie that illegals are making things so much more affordable.

    Dude,

That graph shows up to 2005(when real estate was at its peak)
You might want to subtract about 20% to the house-index
