Thread: Chertoff Backs Down From Enforcing Immigration Laws

Lou Dobbs just told Wolfe Blitzer that Homeland Security Michael Chertoff is backing down from his plans to enforce immigration laws with the worker verification system that would make employees accountable if they hire illegal immigrants. Without this, enforcement is weak, at best.

Let's just hope that our light at the end of the tunnel comes through-----the elections!!!

Chertoff is the WRONG man for THIS job!

On Lou Dobbs just now, it showed Chertoff saying he was going to change the language in the employee verification program so the judge will except it. But this will take 4 months. Said they had to back off because of the multitude of lawsuits filed by the ACLU. We don't need a coward like this working in this job. He also blames the ACLU for this government's inability to enforce the immigration laws for the last 30 years.

Chertoff and the DHS are jokes. How can they call themselves the Department of Homeland Security while enabling our borders to remain open, and are too spineless to enforce our immigration laws?

Well.it's no surprise that DHS caved.It was all for show to begin with.No one really expects Bush and Chertoff to enforce any immigration laws .

Yes I don't believe for one second they ever planned on enforcing any laws, infact they are probably working with the judge to keep from enforcing this law. After all he is the Brother of supreme court justice Breyer.

This is the administrations way of giving amnesty, they want their comphensive plan, they have Mexico, special interest groups, and corporations breathing down their throats, and they are cowards with no back bone.

You're right, SOSAD. My view is that we should all get together and put pressure on Congress to impeach Bush. If we threatened all their jobs they would move off their useless butts and do something. It's the only damn thing they understand.

Chertoff, that talking skull, has stuck it to the Americans. Honestly, Chertoff and Bush never had any plans to enforce the immigration laws, like when bush was supposed to have the wall built, and Chertoff talking tough on illegals. Those two creeps just said those things to turn our attentions away for awhile then-WHAM! They pull this stuff. Chertoff is a lier.
