    MEANING OF 'ILLEGAL'

I am puzzled: When did "illegal" cease to mean unlawful?

I note that "illegal alien" has been replaced with "undocumented worker." If someone is in the United States illegally, he/she is a criminal. As such they are not entitled to any of the rights and privileges enjoyed by citizens and legal immigrants.

There are lawyers who assist illegals in circumventing the law and gaining access to benefits and privileges that are meant for citizens and legal immigrants. These lawyers are aiding and abetting criminals; why are they not prosecuted by the justice system and/or disbarred by their peers?

If an American citizen illegally entered most foreign countries they would be arrested when detected. Certainly no foreign country gives benefits reserved for its citizens to illegal immigrants, and rarely to legal immigrants. Visitors who must use nationalized health facilities abroad pay for the privilege.

I feel that Uncle Sam must stop being Uncle Sap. We are not responsible for the conditions in other nations and we must get over this feeling of guilt and pity when confronted with illegal immigrants. I think illegals should be aggressively sought, detained, deported; they should be jailed as criminals for any illegal entry after one deportation.

I also think that we (as do many other nations) limit the amount of money that can be sent out or taken out of the United States by any citizen or non-citizen. This is standard practice in most solvent nations in the world.
