Just saw it on the repeat of CNN's Headline News Primetime. They even interviewed a contractor who said We follow the letter of the law. We have to pay Workman's Comp. We have insurance to pay for..... I just can't compete with the low wage the illegals are working for."

start telling your congressmen about this dirty scandal.

My mom is in Metarie and said that's all who is rebuilding N.O.
They came in truck loads from Texas and are making a good living
right now. It's a shame b/c I know plenty of whites and blacks and
other CITIZENS who are capable of doing a great job of rebuilding
this AMERICAN city.

I forgot about the other thing they said:

"The INS says they have arrested apprx 140 illegal immigrants all over New Orleans, however, they have let those without a criminal record go without deportation. Leaving the rebuilding of New Orleans to anyone who will work for any price"

It is a disgrace. INS and DHS officials should be locked up and jailed for the rest of their lives over this.

If I had a blood pressure, I'd be dead now over this news.

OHMIGOD, it is just so infuriating.

All those poor people in New Orleans desperate for work and jobs and can make prevailing wage under federal law...being undercut and cheated by illegals that aren't even supposed to be here.

It's puke. I wouldn't accept a house they built. I'd tell them, "sorry, it doesn't meet code...you know that little code called US Immigration Law".
