Police in Fort Collins, Colo., have asked religious groups to watch for a self-proclaimed “Islamist jihadist” who threatened to kill area Catholics and Mormons in the next two weeks.

The Coloradoan reported that the man who made the threat hasn’t been since Sunday. Meanwhile, Fort Collins Police Services Sgt. Mike West said that the public did not need to be concerned about a looming attack.

Authorities said in a memo the threat specified that the two religions “would be destroyed” within two weeks, but did not name individuals or particular churches or places of worship, the Coloradoan reported.

Police said the man targeted the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Catholic Church, but didn’t release any other details.

Though police consider the man to be “nonviolent,” church officials weren’t so dismissive.

Rev. Steven Voss, who said reading the memo made his “blood run cold,” asked that an officer stand guard during Sunday services, the paper reported.d
