Active-duty members of the armed forces of the United States and Canada on permanent duty station in Colorado and their dependents are eligible for in-state status, regardless of domicile or length of residence in Colorado . The military member must have reported to a duty station in the State, as certified by their military command, by the first day of class of the applicable academic term.
Unless the student meets the requirement for domicile in Colorado for one year as detailed above, this eligibility expires as of the first term that begins after retirement or loss of dependent status, except that if student is a Colorado high school graduate and the parent was on active duty in Colorado during the students senior year, the student qualifies for in-state tuition.
Military dependents continuously enrolled in a Colorado college continue to qualify for in-state tuition if the military member is transferred outside Colorado but not if the parent retires.

    MILITARY MEMBERS DOMICILED IN COLORADO

To retain domicile during an absence from Colorado due to military orders, military personnel must maintain Colorado as their state of legal residence for tax purposes, and voters must maintain Colorado voter registration.

Military personnel may retain legal residence in their original state, or they may establish a new legal residence in a state in which they reside due to military orders. They may not establish domicile in Colorado while residing elsewhere or while being physically present in the State only on a temporary basis.

Persons domiciled in Colorado for one year who enter active duty military service, and who return permanently to Colorado within 6 months of discharge, and their dependents, qualify for in-state tuition regardless of changes of domicile while on active duty.

    CANADIAN MILITARY

Any member of the military forces of Canada stationed in Colorado, or the dependent of any such member, shall receive in-state tuition status at any institution of higher education in this state.

Before illegals are given in state tuition, our military and dependats should be allowed in state tuition. This is an interactive map from the Department of the Army that lists by state the rules for in state tuition for service members.

    ALERT!!!PLEASE HELP THESE STATES!!!

    IDAHO:

Bill: S1155 A bill that would suspend licenses for businesses that knowingly employ illegal immigrants and makes e-verifiy mandatory for all business, will not go forward...This bill written and introduced by Senator Jorgenson took the first step in the process in the State Affairs Committee where it passed unanimously. However, Chairman of the State affairs Committee Sen. Curt McKenzie has thrown the bill in his desk drawer and stated this bill is not going anywhere....so much for due process.

We need to call, e-mail, and fax the following members and DEMAND they force Mc Kenzie to remove bill No. S 1155 from his desk drawer and continue forward with the democratic process so this can become law, finish the peoples business and stop stalling. It is what the citizens in Idaho expect of our legislatures...

    COLORADO

Bill SB09-170 is still alive in the Senate - this is the bill that would give in-state tuition to illegal aliens who can not even legally work in our country. It is important for you to call and email the Senators listed below. Tell them to kill this anti-American bill. It is not fair to give tuition breaks to those illegally in the United States when citizens in Colorado can not even afford to send their own children to college.
WE NEED TO CALL, EMAIL AND FAX!!!
