I can just picture the Trash Mail that the Cruz campaign sent out. I get stuff like that on a regular basis from the NRC. It always looks like official business---like something from the IRS!! So that sounds like what the Cruz campaigners did.

He will probably say he didn't know nothin' about it. The other trick of sending out deliberately false information regarding an opponent sounds to me like outright election fraud. Somebody should hold the campaign responsible for that. It could be wire fraud. Then put those two acts together..
