Don't blame Romney for this mush from the rumor mill. Rice made a popular speech at a meeting of GOP elitists, and some publicist has taken it from there. The more I hear about this the more I believe the Romney team is encouraging the speculation while they concentrate on who they really want.Probably Portman.
