Connecticut Citizens for Immigration Control filed a criminal complaint with U.S. Attorney, Kevin J. O'Connor. The complaint charges that Mayor Dannel Malloy and Director of Public Safety, William Callion, and other public officials, are violating U.S. Immigration law by encouraging illegal immigration with Stamford's "No Hassle Zones."

The complaint contends that the creation of these No Hassle Zones "encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law;..." (Title 8, Section 1324)

"The Mayor of Stamford clearly belongs in a federal penitentiary;" says Mr. Streitz, director of CTCIC. "Dannel Malloy believes that he is above federal law and can do whatever he wants in regard to illegal immigration. His job is to enforce local, state and federal laws, not to break them."

"No Hassle Zones, free in-state tuition for illegals, identification cards and drivers licenses for illegals are all meant to aid illegals who live in this country in violation of the U.S. laws. If any state or local official implements any of these measures, CTCIC will file criminal complaints with the U.S. Attorney," says Mr. Streitz.

"Political corruption is not only accepting bribes. It is also refusing to enforce the law on some favored group. The non-enforcement of local, state and federal laws is what has allowed over twelve million illegals to enter, reside and work in this country," says Mr. Streitz.

"The No Hassle Zones exist. The City of Stamford created them. It is clear that their intent is to aid illegals to remain in the United States. It is therefore clear that Mr. Malloy is engaged in criminal misconduct," says Mr. Streitz.
