Why are they OBLIVIOUS to the OBVIOUS de facto discrimination in favor of Latinos/Mexicans?... if whites were 50% of a massive immigration movement, the Latinos would be the first to scream DISCRIMINATION...
For these folks discrimination can ONLY be from Whitey to a minority...
Latinos Diversity would be this: Hispanics, Latinos, Mexicans, Central Americans, South Americans, Brazilians.... although they would draw the line at Argentines and Chileans, because those folks are 90% "white" (oh horror!) not "Latino" enough..No soy de los que se dicen 'la raza'... Am not one of those racists of "The Race"

Amnesty doesn't make sense. We tried this in 1986 and it failed miserably. Maybe another amnesty would make sense for the corporatists who profit off of illegal, cheap labor and those too lazy to mow their own lawns, but not for the vast majority of working and middle class Americans.
Time magazine, typical of a popular publication and much of the MSM, does an incredibly biased and superficial "analysis" of the illegal immigration crisis (e.g., 12 million illegal aliens "undeportable," and no mention of attrition through enforcement).
Robert Rector of the Heritage Foundation and the National Review have logically and methodically outlined in detail the massive flaws in last year's Senate amnesty bill http://www.heritage.org/Research/Immigration/wm1076.cfm and S. 1348: http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=YT ... UzNjIwMjQ=
The Center for Immigration Studies (unlike the lazy journalist) has done an excellent and scholarly analysis of the problems resullting from amnesty and illegal immigration (e.g., http://www.cis.org/articles/2004/fiscalexec.html) I hope they respond.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
