Thread: This Is A Critical Time In The Immigration Debate

I am getting the sense that this is a very critical time in the debate--NumbersUSA is indicating that a deal with the White House and Congress may already have been reached. Let's make their phones ring off the hook with a resounding NO to any deal that allows illegals to remain in the country for any reason. Tell them to "ENFORCE THE LAW", not circumvent it. And, any other tidbits you've gathered over the last few days you'd like to have them hear. Don't be shy, they aren't shy about the destruction of our country!

Sis is right, don't buy into their garbage. On that same note, I believe this is a very critical time regarding the illegal immigration debate.
This is why we have to keep up the pressure, preferrably on a daily basis. Keep faxes, emails, and calls going out. We cannot afford to give up!

I think we should heed Oliver's advice! "NUMBERS USA" is a "gold standard" among organizations founded to oppose immigration growth. They have staff members, and seven lobbyists, who are in daily personal contact with members of Congress. Their "alert" today so much as said that they feared a "amnesty deal" had already been reached in the Senate. Also, we can no longer count, as we did last year, on stalwarts such a Sen. Jeff Sessions of Ala., who, like many of our lawmakers, are under trememdous pressure from their farming constituents to bring them a "guestworker program" for foreign agricultural laborers.

NUMBERS USA said further that, because Congress members had been so "inundated" with 'phone calls from peoople opposing the Flake/Guiterrez Amnesty Bill (H.R. 1645), that pro-illegal immigrant organizations designated all yesterday and today "Call in Days" for their members to call Congress in "Support of STRIVE" (H.R. 1645).

If people calling to oppose amnesty have had this much influence, I think it would be wise for all who are able to use Oliver's toll free number for Congress, and "Keep on Callin'" - today, tomorrow, next week, etc.. to express their adamant opposition to H.R. 1645, S. 9, and "AG-Jobs". We are now told that the word "amnesty" has lost much of its sting, and that lawmakers are no longer afraid of it being used in their cases, or being associated with it, as they once were.
