    Mit Rodney has a plan.

If the law against business are enforced there will be no jobs for illegals and they will not have to be replaced, because the jobs they left are really jobs the created for themselves because of their presence.

The need for increased demand for supplies (products) needed to provide for their physical needs will disappear because the need for increase in supplies will no longer exist.

The real losers will be greedy big business who have benefitted from an ever revolving source of cheap labor.

The need to produce more food, clothing housing, car, etc will disappear with the demand of 12-20 million people.

For a while, prices of all the above will go down because we will have a surplus. Winners; the American people.

Business will not have to hire more workers to produce more because the demand will go gone.

The economy will not collapse if they are gone. It will slow down. McCains, Grahams, Reids, Kennedys will have to pay more to have their children taken care of, to clean their housed and to cut their lawns. But what the hell. They have benefitted from cheap labor also.

Mit Romney’s plan could work and I would be right behind him. I am with him on illegals leaving and going home and getting in line with all the others who are waiting at home.No jobs for them and they will deport themselves.

The economy is already slowing down. Venezuela and Iran have already moved away from the US dollar, UAE and Saudia Arabia are following suit. That spells inflation, as the government prints more money while attempting to stabilize the dollar. The fake upward churn of prductivity in the US is showing signs of collapsing as inflation worries spread. Most Americans are up to their neck in debt because of the availability of easy credit and are now effectively debt slaves. There IS a surplus of goods already, but the government skews the numbers to keep investment jitters from collapsing the markets. Economic hard times are here already, but the average Joe doesn't realize how serious it is yet. The stock market looks (on the surface) to be doing OK, but much of that apparent optimism is due to weekly infusions of cash driven by automatic payroll deductions for 401K and other retirement accounts. Keep a watchful eye on the S&P over the next several weeks...If big business starts worrying that their supply of cheap labor really is going to be dried up and the government is getting serious about enforcement of immigration laws, it is sure to generate rapid downsizing and a retreat of investment capital.

I'm not convinced that any of this is going to result in self-deportation of illegals. I think it is more likely to result in a marked uptick in crime!

    Governor Romney's Immigration Reform Priorities:

First, Securing Our Border. GOVERNOR ROMNEY: "We're going to have to secure our border first." ("Mike Gallagher Show," 5/21/07)

Second, Putting In Place An Enforceable Employment Verification System. GOVERNOR ROMNEY: "Two, put in place an employment verification system to make sure we're giving jobs only to those people who come legally." ("Mike Gallagher Show," 5/21/07)

Third, No Special Privilege Or Special Pathway To Citizenship For Those Here Illegally. GOVERNOR ROMNEY: "And number three, for the 12 million, we can't allow them to have a special privilege of being able to stay here indefinitely." ("Mike Gallagher Show," 5/21/07)

Governor Romney: Border Security Is Number One. GOVERNOR ROMNEY: "You've got to have a wall or fence or electronic surveillance. You have got to make sure we secure our border, that's first." (Fox News' "The O'Reilly Factor," 9/19/06)

Governor Romney: "I believe it's important to end illegal immigration so we can maintain and encourage legal immigration. Immigration is good for this country; it's helped us over our history. We need immigration to provide some of the skills that we may miss, migrant workers, cultural advantages. It's a great source of vitality for America to have legal immigration, but illegal immigration – that we need to bring an end to." (KCMO's "Morning Show With Chris Stigall," 5/22/07)
