Sounds like Hutchinson will support the Dream Act.

Hutchinson speaking on how there could be parts of dream could work and she has things that could take them on the right path. Young people brought here not of their own doing . we should deal wih their limbo. Lets be compassionate. I will vote against Durbin, but I think we should try.

Senator Hutchinson is setting us up for the kill in order to POSSIBLY get her amendment on the table. I hope the other Repubs don't go for it!

So far, using NumbersUSA updated list, and combining with our own research here, 25 senators are appearing to be against the DREAM:

    Allard (R-CO)
    Bunning (R-KY)
    Chambliss (R-GA)
    Coburn (R-OK)
    Corker (R-TN)
    DeMint (R-SC)
    Burr (R-NC)
    Dole (R-NC)
    Enzi (R-WY)
    Imhofe (R-OK)
    Isakson (R-GA)
    Roberts (R-KS)
    Sessions (R-AL)
    Thune (R-SD)
    Vitter (R-LA)
    Landrieu (D-LA)
    Cornyn (R-TX)
    Baucus (D-MT)
    Shelby (R-AL)
    Kyl (R-AZ)
    McConnell (R-KY)
    Lott (R-MS)
    Bond (R-MO)
    Alexander (R-TN)
    Barrasso (R-WY)

We need 40 or 41 (depending on whether Teddy Boy is on the floor or not) in order to prevent a cloture vote from proceeding.

If anyone has solid first-hand info from speaking with staffers from other offices, please pass it along so we can evaluate the info and potentially update the list. (thanks)

Senate Activity: Voting now on Southwick confirmation (8:19am PT)
UNLESS MY EYES ARE FOOLING ME, ISN'T "TESTER" SUPPOSED TO BE ON THIS LIST AS ANTI-DREAM ACT?

Specter speaking, The dream act is a good act. We need to keep working on comprehensive immigration. We cannot deport millions of immigrants.
