Catholic Church involved in Idaho Consulate!

I am sick to death of the Catholic Chuch!!!!

Will Rainford: Rep. Sali doesn't understand the purpose of a country's consulate
    READER'S VIEW: Mexican Consulate

BY WILL RAINFORD - Idaho Statesman
    Edition Date: 04/08/08

Like Don Quixote, Rep. Bill Sali charges about, fighting dragons where there are none.
Recently, he denounced the creation of a Mexican consulate in Idaho. His claim is that, were a Mexican consulate to be established in Idaho, our state would be flooded with undocumented immigrants. And so, he has taken upon himself the fight against the establishment of the consulate in Boise.

But what may be politically good for Rep. Sali is not good economically for the state of Idaho. After all, Idaho and Mexico are strong economic partners, with Idaho establishing a trade office in Jalisco, Mexico, our sister city south of the border.

A Mexican Consulate in Idaho would further strengthen this economic partnership. Billions of dollars in trade flow back and forth between Idaho and Mexico. Annually, Idaho's produce and products earn more than $100 million south of the border. That's a whole lot of cheese, potatoes and wheat, not to mention hundreds of other commodities sold to Mexico. In the Magic Valley alone, farmers enjoyed the sale of more than $1.7 million in bean seeds to Mexico. Mexico is Idaho's second largest trade partner. Do we really want to stifle that trade as a result of our elected congressman's political posturing?

Consulates, Mexico's or others,' are not in the business of breaking the laws of the United States. They do not ferret undocumented immigrants in under our noses. Too much is at stake for them to do so.

Rep. Sali seems to believe that Mexico is not to be trusted; that the consulate is an agent of the enemy; that the consulate is the haven of undocumented immigrants. Nothing could be further from the truth.

What is the truth about the purpose and function of foreign consulates? They are intended to assist the citizen of the represented country in official relation to the United States and the host state.

In Idaho, that means the Mexican consulate would facilitate the rights and responsibilities of its citizens living here.

Over 150,000 Latinos, most of whom come from Mexico, now live and work in Idaho. Their combined economic contribution to the state well exceeds $10 billion annually. Less than 2 percent of immigrants from Mexico are undocumented. In many cases, the "illegality" of their presence stemmed from paperwork that had expired due to the excessive "backlogs" in the current immigration process, versus falsification of documentation. And in cases where documents were falsified, the immigrant could have made legal choices were a representative from the Mexican government available to assist.

The Mexican consulate is an official presence of the Mexican government. We would be bringing one of our largest trade partners here to help facilitate trade and commerce, while ensuring the rights and responsibilities of its citizens are upheld. We need such a presence in Idaho.

Rep. Sali sees dragons where there are only windmills. Unfortunately, he misleads his constituents who need the economic windmills he seeks to slay.

Let us welcome and embrace one of our major trade partners in our state, including its thousands of hard working, family-loving immigrants who call Idaho home.

Will Rainford needs to go back to minding his church. Sali is the only Rep. who has fought this and Sali knows Mexico puts lawyers in these consulates to fight the people of America from enforcing their immigration laws.

Mexico has 47 consulates and that is two many. I also do not want to hear about the poor farmers who beneifit from the cheap labor while legal residence of Idaho pay for the education, health and crime from Illegal aliens.

Just where is all this income from Mexico Will, according to my state Senator we don't even have money to get the 287g program to aid our officers in enforceing our laws. This church could careless if our wages are driven down from the illegal labor in Idaho. Stay out of our politics Wll Reinford.

In cases where the paperwork has expired, they are obligated to LEAVE the US, go home and renew their paperwork! Tourist and Student visas do NOT entitle them to stay indefinitely! That's WHY we have visas!

No, yet another Mexican Consulate in the US would further facilitate illegal immigration and the abundant social costs associated with this.

Keep us posted on this Sosad.

We need to keep track of any Roman Catholic involvement in aiding and harboring illegal aliens. And they are not just from Latin America. We need to show that they are subservient to the interests of political parties and directly advancing the goals of same.

I know that the Roman Catholic Church is intimately connected with labor unions which are pushing an open borders agenda. These unions will use criminal activity to advance their goals of acquiring more members and of unfairly influencing US political decisions. All of this activity should be scrutinized for violation of the Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations Act. Those damaged by this activity, if proven to be conspiratorial activity under RICO law predicates, should file suit for damages.

There was some discussion in legal circles for Civil RICO suits in the pedophilia cases.

But those were essentially internal problems within the Church with not a lot of collaboration with outside groups, and I don't know if the allegations of predicate acts were substantiated. It is much more clear in immigration violations, since these were added to the RICO Act in 1996. Plus they also involve networking with other groups.

I'm sorry to have to say these things; but these groups are on the verge of irretrievably changing the political balance in this country. They are doing this as they act out of their own self-interest with no one taking measures to curtail it. They may even think they are doing the morally right thing. Those getting hurt in the process need to make sure they are seen and heard, even if it takes action in the courts.

What we have is the emergence of a new organized crime society, once again within the same religious group.

After my head is done exploding....

Two words to Mr. Rainford: "Prove it".

That is total BS that does not even remotely comport with the stats one state to the west (OR). Again, where is your source on this Mr. Rainford?
Didn't they teach you in school and Bible class that lying is bad???

Being in the US with 'expired paperwork' IS a blatant admission that the person is here illegally - no ifs, ands or buts. It is plain as day.

    What a jerk...

Another assault on a "red state." The "red states" = the last frontier. The last to be conquered. Oh how joyous it will be when all states are "blue!"

The Catholic church needs to keep its nose out of politics. They should lose their tax exempt status. With all these groups advocating for the illegals, I wonder when somebody is going to stand up for the American people.
