    Current Senate Amnesty Debate.

Just got a good writing from an old friend from the antioutsourcing movement. Here he weighs in on the current guest worker debate in the senate.

He is very analytical and looks into the issues Been tryin to get him to join us here:

What is truly amazing is the degree of avarice, corruption and vice that now exists in the United States Senate. Nowhere can these unsavory and unscrupulous values be evidenced more than in the current back room arm-twisting underway by the leadership of both the Republican and Democratic parties to get an immigration bill favorable to Multinational Corporations passed through the U.S. Senate this legislative session. What is truly astounding is that neither a single U.S. Representative nor a single Senator wants to talk about the real issue at hand regarding the proposed "Guest Worker Programs". Nor do any of these members of the current Congress seemed the slightest bit interested in honestly disc ussing the one over riding issue with regard to current U.S. Economic Policy.

There is a single and ugly word that ties together the rational used by Multinational Corporations to lobby the U.S. Senate for more "Guest Workers". This same ugly word is the real motivation behind Offshore Outsourcing of both U.S. Manufacturing and U.S. Intellectual Property. This ugly word is "Slavery". Plain and simple, any rational behind decisions like that of Senator Arlen Specter (PA-R) to draft a bill that would, among other things, increase the H-1B visa cap from 65,000 to 115,000 in 2007, is that same old ugly practice of slavery. The silence from these so-called representatives of the people regarding this abomination is truly deafening.

Related to this issue is the debate regarding illegal amnesty. Anyone who actually believes that Multinational Corporations would actual grant any significant amnesty to illegal aliens currently residing in the United States are grossly misinformed and misguided. Given the media blitz of disinformation that these organizations have conducted it really isn't that surprising that most people residing in the United States, including some members of the U.S. Congress, haven't completely grasped why Multinational Corporations are pushing to get some form of Senate Bill 1033 through the U.S. Senate.

The degree of contempt demonstrated by the Executives who have testified before the Senate is clearly demonstrated through the obvious lies they have propagated. There is no degree of suffering that is sufficient for these organizations. They have and will continue to pursue policies that advance the expansion of slavery and open-borders so that big business can dictate terms and conditions of employment to all workers throughout their respective organizations. In this way these corrupt and evil individuals have and will continue to drive down wages. They have and will relentlessly continue to erode the enjoyment and safety of working conditions. They have and will continue to pursue shifting the cost burden of health care and education onto Middle Class American Taxpayers.

The United States does not need yet another guest worker program. What the United States needs are politicians in Washington D.C. who respect the current law not only in word, but also in action. What the United States needs is to take a real leadership role on the issue of slavery by seeking to abolish the practice wherever and in whatever form it exists. It is time that the U.S. Senate, the Republican leadership in particular, demonstrates through action that they are in fact the "Party of Lincoln". It is time for the United States to demonstrate to the world that it not only believes but also practices the principles of equality. Slavery is an abhorrent and evil practice. It is time to start putting this absurd debate to bed once and for all. The place to begin is ending the immigration debate currently taking place in the U.S. Senate. If not for any other reason, of which there are many, please voice your opposition to any of the proposals currently being considered by the U.S. Senate which expand or create any additional Guest Worker Visas. The time to do so is now.
