Is the amnesty forever or just for that particular crime? I think is is BS anyway. They need to go home so they don't have to worry about it.

They're not giving illegal aliens a right to stay in the United States indefinitely, which they have no control over anyway. What his office is doing is asking illegal aliens who've been victimized by other-purportedly more dangerous-criminals to contact the people who work there. It's in effect the same policy as the Executive Order that was decreed by former Mayor Ed Koch, which has been ruled unconstitutional repeatedly, but which the NYPD is prevented from enforcing by the idiots who run this city.
