DC Sources: “Rep. Kevin McCarthy & Rep. Renee Ellmers Are Having An Affair”

Here's why Renee Ellmers is betraying her constituents!!

BREAKING, EXCLUSIVE: DC Sources: “Rep. Kevin McCarthy & Rep. Renee Ellmers Are Having An Affair”

    January 23, 2015
    by Charles C. Johnson

Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC) and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) (center) at the U.S. Capitol July 28, 2011 in Washington, DC.

Multiple sources within Bakersfield, North Carolina, & on Capitol Hill tell Gotnews.com that Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) and Renee Ellmers (R-NC) have been carrying on a long-running affair since 2011.

The affair is something of an open secret in Washington, D.C. Reporters at other publications, lobbyists, congressional staffers of both parties all know about it. One staffer for a congressman describes it as the “biggest open secret” in D.C. A lobbyist describes Ellmers as a “social climber who has ingratiated herself” with McCarthy.

House leadership also knows about the affair. Speaker John Boehner reportedly told McCarthy to stop the affair once McCarthy was elected Majority Leader says a well placed congressional staffer. At least one leadership staffer doesn’t think the affair ended. “They are unusually close,” says the staffer who insists that the affair is going on. “It’s weird if he’s not ****ing her.”

Ellmers, who was elected in 2010, has traveled with Kevin McCarthy throughout North Carolina on the campaign trail in 2014. McCarthy campaigned for Ellmers during her 2014 primary challenge with radio talk show host Frank Roche.

The New York Times discussed McCarthy and Ellmers’s working relationship in a 2011 article.

McCarthy, who can’t stand the sight of blood, appreciates the ex-nurse’s toughness. Ellmers is one of nine women in this high-testosterone freshman class and has to find her own way of being heard. She barraged McCarthy with e-mails and phone calls saying she saw little sense in the G.O.P. leadership’s decision in June to send the White House a message by bringing to the floor a ”clean” (or condition-free) debt ceiling and then resoundingly voting it down. Sometimes when Ellmers is talking to the whip and doesn’t think she’s getting through to him, she claps her hands loudly in front of his face. Sometimes McCarthy giggles and claps back.

The two Republicans travel together, campaign together, and support one another in conferences.

McCarthy has also made a number of trips to North Carolina to visit with Ellmers in North Carolina.

The trips coincide with when the affair is said to have occurred.

Here are some contemporaneous tweets. (See at source link.)

Ellmers was elected in 2010 in a close election after her opponent assaulted someone on the street. She has since been drawn into a safe congressional seat.

A Tea Party darling whose win surprised the party bosses, Ellmers has come into disrepute lately for her controversial positions on amnesty, spending, and abortion. She quickly teamed up with the leadership, though. Ellmers leaked sensitive details from Tea Party-linked representatives to McCarthy and Boehner, says a congressional staffer familiar with the early discussions.

Ellmers also worked with House leadership to pull a pro-life partial birth abortion ban bill.
Ellmers had previously supported the same bill several years prior but said that she was upset with the exception for rape language in the bill.

Calls and emails to Reps. Ellmers’s and McCarthy’s offices were unreturned.

Gotnews.com also reached out to Brent Ellmers, her husband, but hasn’t heard back. His number from his medical practice has been discontinued.

Giggles. Well, this stuff happens, and I certainly won't hold it against either one of them. But this is why they need to both lighten up on what others may do in their private lives, as should the Republican Party in general. Republicans would do well to stay out of a woman's right to terminate an unwanted unaffordable pregnancy and stop picking on gays who want for whatever reasons of their own to get hitched and look after each other with a marriage contract. Here's some food for thought on these social issues:

Judy's Five Real Republican Principles to Abide:

    1. If you don't believe in abortion, don't have one.
    2. If you don't believe in gay marriage, don't marry one.
    3. If you want it, you pay for it.
    4. If you breed 'em, you feed 'em.
    5. If you make it over there, then you sell it over there.

This is how we maintain domestic tranquility, an essential element of our society for both individual well-being as well as the general welfare. Then we have time and energy to focus on those issues that actually concern our nation like the monumental task of taking our country back from these foreign cartels who have bought up enough politicians at every level of government to system by system, institution by institution, destroy our nation.

I do not support late term or federally funded abortions. Furthermore, I do not support gay marriage. However, we are not here to argue those issues.

If these folks are having an affair, they can answer to God and their spouses.

If these allegations are true I hope the information can get out there and spread far and wide enough to cost these to illegal aliens amnesty supporters and John Boehner servants their positions as elected officials as soon as possible!

Traitors against America like Ellmers’s and McCarthy need to be taken out of power by any peaceful political means necessary.

The Republican Party wasn't created to argue about them either. That was the point of the post.

Judy, I see you take the Libertarian view of abortion. While I am libertarian in many of my views, I believe the true libertarian view of abortion must be that the baby is a human being who is killed by its mother. Libertarians usually believe that what you do is your business as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, and abortion hurts the unborn child.

One of my Republican rules to abide by is that if you don't want or can't afford children, keep your pants on. It's a choice, and neither I nor the unborn child should have to pay for someone's poor choice. (Rape and incest not included.)

Another of my Republican rules is that if you've been elected to public office, you should conduct yourself accordingly. While I don't care who Renee Ellmers sleeps with, I do care that it is indicative of poor judgement, untrustworthiness, and a lack of self-control on her part. That tells me that I don't want her representing me in office. That was the point of posting the article. Also that her allegiance to her paramour is greater than her allegiance to those whom she represents.

There is no correct political view of abortion, because it's not a political issue, it's a private personal medical issue. And as a Republican I don't want our government paying for anyone not keeping their pants on when they don't want or can't afford a child. That's why as a Republican, I oppose Medicaid funding for pregnancies, i. e. you want it, you pay for it, and Free School Lunch, i. e. you breed 'em, you feed 'em. I am not a Libertarian. I'm just a Republican. The Republican Party has been around a very long time, since 1854, and it has never involved itself in these personal issues until around the 1980's and only then due to pressure from religious groups operating on 501 C 3 tax exempt money trying to impact public policy and influence the outcome of elections in direct violation of their 501 C 3 tax status which prohibits such activity, which is one of the reasons I'm such a fan of the FairTax because it shuts down this illegal use of their funds.

Imblest, I liked your article and always enjoy reading about those who want to tell everyone else how to live their lives like Elmers and McCarthy getting caught with their own pants down. The irony of it gives me the giggles because it exposes them as social and religious hypocrites. But again, I won't hold that against them, I will however hold their actions or inactions on public issues like illegal immigration against them.
