Thread: Deport Convicted Felon US Citizens To Mexico

I know this would never happen but I wonder how Mexico would feel if we deported US Citizens to Mexico. Upon conviction and when time for sentencing give the convict two options.

1. Give up your US Citizenship for the same amount of years as you would have received in a prison sentence and be deported to Mexico.

2. Take the prison sentence and keep your US Citizenship.

Wonder what the convicted felons would opted for and how many would illegally re-enter the US?

Wonder how Mexico's President would like to have our convicted felons? Would he embrace them and say they are in search of a better life then what they would find in prison and allow them to stay in Mexico?

Would their citizens in Mexico embrace them as they compete for jobs against them and the rise of crime they would experience.

American gangs taking over parts of their cities dealing drugs and commiting robberies and other crimes. Would they be accepting of that and embrace it or would they want their government to remove them from their country?

Too bad we couldn't actually impliment something like that to give them a taste of their own medicine.

As an alternative, how about sending all retiring boomers to Mexico for free medical, housing and welfare payments. Do you think the government of Mexico would pay up or cry foul?

The boomers could liquidate their existing 401K accounts, since word is the government wants to seize them and have the Social Security Administrtion administer the funds with no rights of inheritance for their heirs on their death With managed healthcare that could be sooner than later for many. 8 Trillion in 401K accounts is a big temptation for greedy politicians. Similar to the Social Security Trust that got moved to the General Fund by Democrats and and squandered. One year of a large income hit and that is the end of it. (several of my friends are actually doing this).
Withdraw it completely from the multinational banks and only use small local banks or other mobile assets.
They could get out of the stockmarket completely and that would be a little more jingle. I think Mexico would roll out the Red Carpet.

How would we keep the felons in Mexico, though? The way things are, they could just stroll back across the border. Perhaps some sort of fence might help...
