He says the illegals are serving in the military to protect Americans.

He is not talking about the illegals who destroy Americans every day on our own streets.

Do not let Dick Durbin rewrite military recruitment law!!!

Do not let Dick Durbin conduct a grand social experiment in illegal alien servitude in the U.S. military!!!

Illegal aliens have never been allowed to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces. Now, Dick Durbin wants to rewrite the law. It is absolutely unacceptable to promote, much less actively recruit and accept illegal aliens into the military. The dangle of a permanent green card offered by Durbin is what the attraction is, not servitude for patriotism and love of America. How willing will these illegals be to continue their military service after 2 years when they recieve their green cards?

I do not want my sons and daughters serving alongside illegal aliens bideing their time in the the military until they receive their green cards.

The application process for this amnesty is ripe with fraud. It is well known that gang leaders encourage their "soldiers" to attempt entry into the U.S. military in order to receive training in weapons and military techniques. The DREAM Act will make this an open invitation.

Furthermore, there is no requirement that the illegals be able to speak English. This would cause huge training and communication issues. If Dick Durbin really feels that this is a non issue in that the illegals would already be "English capable", then why isn't the requirement written into the DREAM Act?

Open borders and amnesty loving Senators and Congressmen have already allowed destruction to the social, cultural and economic sytems in our country. God forbid they do the same to the U.S. military!

Senator, there are many reasons to SAY NO TO THE DREAM ACT. The military service option is just one of the many problems with Durbin's DREAM Act.

Typical Democrat not knowing a thing about millitary service, and trying to monkey with the military when it is at its most vulnerable.

I agree with all points above.

Not trying to generalize about ALL democrats -- many have given to our country through military service, yet there are those who view it as some grand social experiment.

And just another way to exploit these people as well. First they prostitute them for cheap labor, then they view them as expendable cannon fodder for a war. One would think these folks would wise up as to how they are being used and abused by global elitists who see them as just cogs in the great economic/military machine.

I just wish we had a President who could verbally and publicly stand up to these BOZOS in Congress!!!

Just called Lautenberg's office and his aide said that the Military recruitment part of the Dream act would only allow the poor children born here of their illegal parents a chance for citizenship. The aide said he would be happy to educate me on the Dream Act. I told him I understood it and that I would save him time. I also said Mr. Lautenberg is up for reelection who does he choose to represent because he can't have it both ways! Lautenberg and Menendez always get me going for the rest of the day. LOL

Children born here are already U.S. citizens.

Don't forget that the DA amnesty proposal says "uniformed" services which includes the NOAA etc. And how many would enlist in the military as opposed to just signing up for correspondence school etc. So this touting of "military" service is such transparent spin.

Do they really believe we are all idiots out here????????
