Badmonkey you are right. Colorado tough laws were enacted by a democratic legislature with cooperation from republicans this summer. It is the people driving this.
Even big wins by dems this fall will not satisfy the rest of their agenda if they don't deal effectively with illegal immigration.
Locals need to:
assess the amount of illgeals in their jurisdiction.
Hold all government entities and specific government departments and directors accountable to reduce illegal alien body count.
And demand enforcement.
Support efforts by governmental entities when they do the above.
Democrats here locally (Colorado) favor employer sanctions. We should support any positive efforts and not play politics with the issue.
With solid education the voters will hold both parties accountable.
My sense is we should be about developing a third party with a limited overarching agenda.AMERICAN WORKERS FIRST -- A RAID A DAY KEEPS THE ILLEGALS AWAY
