Last weekend we took the family camping at a place called Ocotillo Wells. This is a state park that is for off road junkies.

We had not been there in about a year and I was shocked at all the mexican flags we saw out there. (Whip flags are important for visibility on dune buggies and ATV's so you can see who might be cresting a hill or a dune. They are also used as 'markers' on campers and trailers so you can find your campsight more easily among the masses).

What really pissed us off is how many mex flags were on TOP of OURS. Now, my question is this: do mexicans do this to piss off Americans or do they just not know how disrespectful it is? Do you think this is intentional? What point might they be trying to make by degrading our flag like this?

I would rather they not even put the US flag on thier bikes and just keep thier own if thats how they are going to be. I've been doing the desert thing for a while now, and only in the last few years have I noticed all the mex flags REALLY starting to take over. I feel compelled to inform them of how many men died for that flag, how my Dad fought for this flag and how many service men and women are fighting and dying for it now, but I never had the chance. I was so angry about it, its probably best I didn't anyway.

My brother has a two way radio. He happened to have it on as we were leaving. They passed a bike with a mex flag on the side of the road broke down (naturally) and he heard another person on the same channel saying how bad he'd like to take the flag off that guys bike and rip it in half. My brother got on and told him we were sharing the same channel and the same thoughts...
