Thread: Tom Tancredo Coming Out With A New Ad

MY END OF THE WEEK REPORT!

Dear xxxxxxx,

I’m still in Washington as I write this note to you today, waiting to cast a few more votes in the House.

Before I leave town for the weekend, I thought I would take just a couple of minutes to report to you on some of the exciting developments that are taking place politically, that will directly impact our campaign.

As my partner in this campaign, it’s really important that you stay plugged in to all that is happening, especially since I will be asking you to make a financial contribution today to help us keep building the momentum behind our issue!

That momentum is the first thing I want to share with you.

We are seeing polls in the key states of Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina that illegal immigration is either the first or second-most important issue to voters in those states!

Let me tell you: that is fantastic news for us!

The fact is that not one of my opponents is seriously addressing the illegal immigration crisis as they campaign in these key states.

If I had to boil it down, here’s how the other Republicans line up: Mitt Romney mostly talks about the business of government, John McCain and Ron Paul talk about Iraq, Rudy Giuliani talks about 9/11, and Fred Thompson talks, frankly, in generalities.

Well, you know what I talk about!

And as I know I’ve told you before, when I talk about the illegal immigration crisis, I don’t need a poll to tell me it is the worry uppermost in the minds of the voters I’m talking to.

That’s because you and I understand something very fundamental, something our Republican opponents just don’t get -- the illegal immigration directly impacts every other major policy issue facing this nation today!

Our open borders invite terrorists to strike us at home again; illegal immigrants are taking jobs away from Americans and driving down wages for working people; and the law enforcement, education and health care costs related directly to illegal immigrants are crippling the finances of many state and local governments. Fixing illegal immigration is not just an issue ….. it is the issue!

The really exciting news is that next week we will be “going upâ€

I notice he didnt mention Hunter . That could be a good sign .

But Tancredo seems to be slacking some himself lately , on his voting .

Yeah, I would like to hear him differentiate himself from Hunter. To me, Duncan is much stronger on other issues that Tancredo seems to ignore. I would like to see some debating between the two of them. In the meantime, I am behind Duncan Hunter all the way. Tancredo will keep this issue in the forefront. I hope it's as important to the majority as it should be.

He was the one who brought Illegal Immigration to the front pages.
He knew all the tine that he is a long shot, but his tenacity made all the country turn to the issue that until then were under the covers.
He FORCED the sleeping ones to notice what was happening and put himself in a very odd situation declaring his positions. He didn't care for the presidential race but he cared for America.

You hit the nail on the head minnie. Tancredo knows he won't win. But he already is with the illegal immigration issue being brought to the forefront. He and Duncan think the same on the issues, that's why he didn't mention him. Tom has death threats on him and his family all the time. In fact, he has had speeches that have to be canceled due to the level of the threat. Despite that he has been at the helm of this issue for years. He recently said that others are picking up the banner and running with it so he can retire and perhaps run for the Senate. Either man is good for me.

I can't wait to see Tom's ad. I hope he doesn't hesitate to expose the first tier candidates for the flip floppers they are.

For me he should never be forgotten also and I can believe he has been threatened because he is bothering many important groups.
I woukld support him for any office .
I'm supporting Ron Paul because for me our Constitution is one of the most intelligent, fair, respectable instrument a man could have written and it must be followed. He is all the way for it, sometimes his vote seems strange but if you read the Constitution you find out why he voted that way.
If we can return to our Contitutional rights and laws, I think there will be no way for America tobe deffeated.
When I wasn't aware of what is happening, I wasn't so against this war or for having our soldiers policing the world, but when I started getting informed, reading, searching, I learned so many things (much more to learnof course) that today the only person I can support is Ron Paul, because of the principles for what he stand.

WHY isn't this HEADLINE NEWS -- That Tom has had death threats and he had to cancel events. To me, this is huge.

Didn't we hear about some lamebrain politician getting 'deathreaths' on his phone for supporting the shamnesty bill -- yet, why he could not produce the call...

To me... IF TANCREDO is getting death threats.. Then.

1. He needs to send out a press release and get everyone knowing about this.
....a. Anybody threathening a congressman because he wants to control illegal immigration would RALLY MANY PEOPLE BEHIND HIM.

2. The government Should, without a doubt, supply Tom with Security.

I know Ron Paul has to pay for his own security.. and this is a travesty...

Tom should get security.

I asked staffers if Tom had security awhile back and he does...but he supplies his own too.

Actually BrightNail, he was on Fox News about it months ago, way before the Presidential campaign. The only reason the MSM would cover it, is if he was killed or hospitalized. They don't care about him.
