Does anybody question validity of citizenship to vote?
Voter registration deadline
JOLIET -- Will County Clerk Nancy Schultz Voots reminds those who are not registered to vote, that Jan. 8 is the last day to register if you wish to vote in the Feb. 5 primary election.
The county clerk's office, 302 N. Chicago St., is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The office will remain open until 6 p.m. Jan. 8 to accommodate those who cannot come in during regular business hours.
Two forms of identification are necessary -- one must show current address; second identification can be name only.
Anyone who is unsure about the status of his/her registration may call the office at (815) 740-4620 for verification.
If you have moved within Will County, complete the back portion of your voter's card and return it to the clerk's office or e-mail your change of address to voterregistration@willcountyillinois.com by Jan. 8. Visit the Web site at www.willclrk.com for this and other election-related information.
