    Bank of America Protest in Pompano Beach Florida

    This is somewhat funny but sad at the same time.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Despite a reasonable effort to gather protesters only four showed at the Bank of (Anti-)America in Pompano Beach. We protested from 10 to 12 AM. One person was stationed at the back entrance where bank clients entered. Reception to our message to close their account was poor as most of the bank clients seemingly were immigrants or illegal aliens. On the front side facing a heavily traveled street our sign said HONK IF YOU OPPOSE CREDIT CARDS FOR ILLEGALS. The reception from traffic was good as a high percentage of vehicles honked which indicates broad support of the boycott. The bank manager asked us to stay off their property which we agreed to so their was no problem with Bank of (Anti-)America.
    Four newspapers were notified but none showed. Three TV stations were notified but only Telemundo showed. Telemundo is now a subsidiary of NBC. The Telemundo cameraman could barely speak English so one protester acted as the reporter who interviewed another protester who cut up his Bank of (Anti-)America credit card while the taped rolled.
    Two individuals stopped by to personally thank our efforts.
    I could have warned you about that.
    Poll testing of our boycott supporters indicate they will contribute funds, vote, write letters, and stop using products while spreading the word. Very few indicate they will stand on the streets in protest.
    We learned this from research during the Miller Boycott and that is why I did not want to put things in the outside protest direction.
    The person that launched these protests knows this, but led you in that direction regardless.
    I personally did not go and only read about the results on line. I agree that those protests are pointless but in areas like South Florida it can be very dangerous as you never know with some of the Hispanics here. They can be bullies as I have witnessed on numerous occassions.
    Why cant you just hire 10 illegal aliens to do the protest? Give them signs and teach them how to chant a slogan in english. Would be inexpensive and they are such good workers. I am sure it would be effective...
    I think it is very sad. It just sends a message to Washington that American citizens are willing to be submissive in the fight against illegal aliens. We all know that our government wants us to be quiet and not resist their grand scheme of granting amnesty to illegals. They don't listen to us and send their junk mail replies that they will make the decisions for us. Congress does not conduct public consituent hearings on this, their staff members are rude, and they cater to all pro-illegal organizations and businesses by making their offices and staffs available to them.
    There are tens of thousands of Latinos who have marched and will march in the future to promote their pro-amnesty efforts everywhere, yet no strong opposition like that has appeared in the streets of America. I have been waiting for a citizen resistance march to join but it hasn't happened except on some very small platforms and this makes me even sadder.
    I am getting really disgusted with the cowardice and apathy of mainstream America. It is the future of their families at stake yet they can't find the footing to stand in the streets on the eve of the greatest takeover of this country in history. They can't find the time or wherewithal to go to their state capitals or to Washington to protest because they can't even find the organized backers to assist them. Even those average Americans that agree with the argument that our immigration laws should be enforced are reduced to the role of spectators from the shelter of their homes. Our computers and televisions have both educated and insulated us from having to particpate in bodily resistance.
    What I don't get is how come the pro-illegals can find the rallies but the American resistance can't or won't? To me, this is all too pathetic.
