Yeah, I caught a portion of this. Thanks for posting the video of the entire press conference, Lorrie. I thought Trump nailed it. Great job, Donald J Trump!

Trump says Russia should find Clinton’s missing emails

    By Daniel Halper July 27, 2016 | 12:04pm

    AP

Donald Trump addressed allegations that Russia is behind the hacking of the Democratic National Committee — which has resulted in a leaked trove of emails from top Democratic officials – by calling on the Russians to find and release Hillary Clinton’s hidden emails.

“Russia, if you are listening, I hope you are able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” he said, encouraging hackers to track down emails Clinton did not turn over to the State Department when she left as secretary of state.

“I think you would probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

But soon after making the remarks, Trump felt the need to amend them.

“If Russia or any other country or person has Hillary Clinton’s 33,000 illegally deleted emails, perhaps they should share them with the FBI!” he tweeted.

Trump said the notion that Russia is even behind the DNC hack is “a total deflection.”

“Nobody knows if it’s Russia,” he said during a lengthy press conference at his hotel in Doral, Florida.

The Republican presidential candidate denied personal ties to Russia — a charge Democrats have begun to levy at the Republican candidate — though he said he once sold a house to a Russian and made a considerable profit.

“I have nothing to do with Russia,” Trump said – but he claimed Russian President Vladimir Putin would “respect” him, even though he doesn’t respect Obama.

“Putin has better leadership qualities than Obama, but who doesn’t know that?”

Trump also used the press conference to rag on Hillary Clinton for hiding from the media — telling reporters she’s avoiding them because “there’s no way she can answer questions.”

“It’s been 235 days since crooked Hillary Clinton has had a press conference,” Trump said at a press conference in Doral, Florida.

“I put myself through your news conferences often, not that it’s fun,” he said.

Later, Trump accused a reporter of “wanting to help Hillary,” and told her to “be quiet.”

Trump also responded to Bill Clinton’s attempt Tuesday night to make Hillary into a change maker, a central theme of the former president’s Democratic convention remarks.

“They talk about change. She’s been there for 30 years. Not gonna be change,” Trump said.

“She’s bought and sold 100 percent ” by the special interests.

Trump criticized the former president for “leaving out a chapter” in his DNC remarks – presumably referring to the well-known difficulties in the Clinton marriage.

The Clinton campaign quickly slammed Trump.

“This has to be the first time that a major presidential candidate has actively encouraged a foreign power to conduct espionage against his political opponent,” said Clinton spokesman Jake Sullivan in a statement.

“That’s not hyperbole, those are just the facts. This has gone from being a matter of curiosity, and a matter of politics, to being a national security issue.”
