Sessions: Clinton's immigration stance 'disqualifies her'
July 15, 2016, 01:53 pm
By Jordain Carney
Donald Trump's chief Senate ally said Friday that Hillary Clinton's immigration policies should bar her from the White House.
"The fact that Clinton would go even further than Obama’s extreme lawlessness disqualifies her for the position of chief law enforcement officer of the United States," Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) said in a statement Friday.
Sessions added that a "plain refusal to follow established law is extreme and will only further the lawlessness."
He made the remarks after Clinton used a speech Thursday at the annual convention of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) to draw a sharp contrast between herself and the presumptive GOP nominee on immigration.
She pledged to make comprehensive immigration reform a priority of the first 100 days of her administration if she wins the White House.
Sessions has repeatedly knocked Clinton over her immigration stance, calling her positions "radical" during a speech from the Senate floor late last month.
He added Friday that "in a direct assault on the very foundations of our entire legal immigration system, she has boldly, radically, and openly vowed to go even further than President Obama."
Clinton said in a statement earlier this year that "I will do everything I can to protect the president's executive actions and go further to bring more people relief and keep families together."
Clinton's immigration policies, outlined on her campaign website, include "comprehensive immigration reform" that has a pathway to citizenship, backing Obama's executive actions on deportation, and closing private immigration detention facilities.

Sen. Sessions seems to be the only one in the Senate to speak out against illegal immigration as eloquently and vociferously as he does. His position may be to risky to replace in the Senate. Who would replace his voice if he joined Trumps cabinet? A real patriot and loyal defender of existing immigration law.

Would like to see Jeff with this talk on ads for Trump. Sessions says so much that is reality yet it does not reach enough people.
The immigration problem or fiasco with 10,000 a day crossing plus the UAM ,would be operating differently if Sessions was the head instead of someone like jeh johnson.
And a DOJ other that lynch would be great. Don't know how she got confirmed after stating at her confirmation hearing that she thinks illegal aliens have the same right to work in America as American citizens do. And snappily said better than having them sit around.
Clearly her intent was to break our laws & she still got the job; that shows how infiltrated our system is with politicians that are against American citizens. She wasn't so snappy at her recent questioning @ no charges for hillary.
