Humane Borders will still distribute maps
Despite what Mexican group says, Humane Borders plans to distribute maps.
The Rev. Robin Hoover, president of Humane Borders, said he is not convinced that the commission is not giving in to American pressure.
"I think the U.S. government once again shamelessly pressured Mexico into violating human rights," he said. "To deny these people life-saving information is immoral."
Hoover said that when the plan to distribute the maps was announced Tuesday in Mexico City, the commission had no reservations about undertaking the project. It was not until after Chertoff spoke out against the plan that the Mexican government decided to back out.
Hoover said Humane Borders will continue to distribute the maps, and since Tuesday, the maps have been posted on Web sites all over the world.

According to the local news last night, this plan has already been nixed. Of course, their slant is not that it is because it is WRONG to distribute maps for invaders but because it is wrong to give the invaders hope that they can live to travel across the desert.
