    Lou Dobbs Tonight
    Tuesday, October 30, 2007

Tonight, President Bush rebuked the Democrat-controlled
Congress in a daytime press conference today, saying it had the
worst record in 20 years of delivering critical appropriations
bills. The Democrats have fumbled and bumbled, unable to
overcome the Republican minority on important measures or reach
    acceptable compromises.

But Bush was also quick to criticize Democratic spending when
he has fostered record deficits and spent roughly half a
trillion dollars on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. We’ll
have that story and all the latest news from Washington,
    tonight.

Democrats in Congress held a briefing today on plans to revamp
toy safety in this country. Meanwhile, the Consumer Product
Safety Commission is rejecting additional funding and attempts
to restructure the agency. We’ll have the latest on toy safety
efforts and how parents are taking matters into their own hands
    as the holiday season approaches.

New York Gov. Elliot Spitzer boasts that seven other states
have tiered driver’s license systems like the one he suggested
last weekend. But two states backed out of such programs when
the promised benefits didn't materialize. Join us for a closer
look tonight at Spitzer’s flawed proposal, which puts our
democracy at risk by potentially giving illegal aliens the
    right to vote.
