I'm a republican but I could vote for this guy!!


Democrat Sen. Byron Dorgan speaks :

"Raises discussion of American workers: "There's no discussion here. They have a role in this debate....There's a party that's not here at the table: The American worker. Forget about 12 million illegal people. What about 140 million American workers? Do they matter? "

Okay, we must call and tell Senator Dorgan thank you for standing up for the AMERICAN WORKER and not the illegal worker!

Exactly! This whole thing should not be about what this bill does to, or for, the illegals, but what it does FOR the LEGAL CITIZENS of the USA!!! That is who those senators are supposed to represent, not illegals!!

Yes, Dorgan is a good guy.

As I pointed out in another thread, largely for the Dems, but not exclusively so, one of their strongest points of opposition to the current bill will (for some) be in it's treatment of American workers - especially, those most affected by illegal immigration/mass immigration.

This group includes senators like:

Dorgan, Sanders, to a lesser degree, Bingaman, etc.

At the same time, they are not particularly good from a strictly law-and-order perspective on the issue and are more sensitive to criticisms from the political correctness angle.

But...all the above is ok. All that group of senators need is one good reason NOT to vote for the current bill and that will be good enough for us.

Thanks God we have still have some patriots in the Senate!!!
