HAPPY SAN JACINTO DAY!
I am sure there will certainly be little if any mention of this day by our media, Yet Cinco De Mayo crap has been all over the place. Let's all take a moment to remember all of those who fought and died for this country in that victorious day April 21, 1836 when the Texas Army led by General Sam Houston defeated General Antonio López de Santa Anna's Mexican forces in a fight that lasted just eighteen minutes. Hundreds of Mexican soldiers were killed or captured, while there were only nine Texan casualties.
Santa Anna, the President of Mexico, was captured the following day and held as a prisoner of war. Not long afterwards, he signed the peace treaties that dictated that the Mexican army leave the region, paving the way for the Republic of Texas to become an independent country.Certified Member

March 2 is TEXAN Independence Day, yet there isn't NEARLY as MUCH hoopla over that as there is over CINCO de MAYO!

We sure gave them a Texas ass whoopin!!
I wish Americans would regain the pride, the bravery, the vigor, and truly realise what great people we are with a precious and proud tradition. If we do, we will be UNSTOPPABLE.Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.
See you at the signing!!

Nothing mentioned on our local news yesterday about this day. I guess all the media is afraid of upsetting Mexico.
Calderon should have been reminded of San Jacinto Day while he was sitting with the other two IDIOTS who were planning on giving the rest of the USA to Mexico.Certified Member
