We came close to losing our country

I truly feel that If this "nightmare" would have passed, that we would have seen unprecedented Illegal Immigration as EVERYBODY rushed our borders to say that they have been here, and qualify for this amnesty. We may have just saved our country from permanent third world status. Now we will have the chance to push back HARD for enforcement of our Immigration laws. We need to hold the REPUBLICANS accountable also In the bigger picture. They have already talked about passing "Their version" of the dream act In 2011. We cannot let them do that... TS

You are right topsecret10. We must not let them do it. What destruction this would heap on our nation. We have found that our government is lax on screening in general, there are always big loopholes for fraud, and they just do a sloppy job at doing their jobs overall.

Luke 2:11, it is written, "Unto us is born in the City of David a Savior, Christ the Lord."
    Matthew 19:26
But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

You are right TS it would have been the end of our country . We have a President who will continue to try and force Open Borders on us but at least he cannot do it so easily or legally as with the Nightmare Act slight of hand .

You're right TS. The 55 traitors in the Senate who supported this garbage, not to mention the 244 (or close to that number) in the House who also supported relegating this country to third world status is disturbing!

The fact that a mere 5 votes saved this country from total destruction is an outrage!

From a practical standpoint I don't think things will change very much until Congress steps up to the plate and passes stronger enforcement measures. Maybe the SAVE act can get through next year. If the economy picks up, there will be more jobs, yet it will take long time to get the unemployment rolls empty.

If we had a 2 or 3 percent unemployment rate in this country then you would think the labor groups would be overjoyed. The problem is the greedy leaders at the top and their new "international justice" perspective that demands more and more members paying dues to them.
