Do you really live under this much fear?
Do you really believe that Illegals have the "right" to bleed the United States dry ? I have seen what Illegal Immigration does to entire States (California) and entire cities ( too numerous to list) I have seen all of the gangs,graffiti,drugs,drive-bys,hit and runs, and a culture that does not care for,or about AMERICAN VALUES..... I do not live In fear,I am a veteran... I fear for this country, that people such as yourself seem to think that you are entitled to something here. I did not fight to protect Illegals In OUR country. I fought for "rights" of AMERICAN CITIZENS...

Funny how your screen name is "anti-immigrant," a common tactic used by open border lovers and pro-illegal invaders to muddy the waters.

Who are you to question how much "fear" any of us are living under due to the illegal invader swarm we are being exposed to in this country on a consistent basis.

Are you upset the NIGHTMARE ACT didn't pass this morning?

Captainiron, I believe you are right to a great degree. However, IMO, the DREAM Act was simply a political diversion, a slight of hand to appease the OBL folks but at the same time, with its defeat, appease those of us against uncontrolled immigration, both legal and illegal. How clever our politicians are! But the truth of the matter is, through trickery, legal delays and political maneuvering, nothing much will come of all this. That is, until something of a horrific and very public nature occurs, such as a series of high profile murders, gang wars in our streets that can't be ignored or the total and undeniable collapse of a major metropolitan area due to the burden of illegal aliens on the system. But more importantly, our politicians won't do anything until a major civil uprising by Americans reluctantly forces their hand. The point is, our government sees illegal immigration and the latinization of the U.S. as inevitable...we see it as the end of our country, economy and way of life as we have known it. Something has got to give. The question is, WHO wants it the most? We currently have a government chock full of anti-Americans, communists, socialists and marxists. We won't make any progress to our ends until we clean out this putrid infection in the White House and Congress.
...I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid...

Yes, Topsecret. Along with our thanks for a no vote to the Dream Act, we need to let them know we will still remain vigilant against amnesty in any form and expect them to really secure our borders, not just give it lip service.

You couldn't be more right! When Bush talked amnesty, I even had a couple of illegals knocking on my door saying they were new students in my country and did I know where there was a Spanish speaking house? This was well-rehearsed because they spoke no English.

Of course, now, there are well run networks and they don't need to knock on every door in my neighborhood because a third are now Spanish speaking. Today the grocery store, to my horror, had signs on different isles saying "US Food" and "Latino food." Nothing like balkanizing our food. I wouldn't shop there. I walked out and didn't put the cart back. [edit: and as I left I thanked me and all of you for killing the Dream Act an hour before]

I feel very emotional about the passage of this vote. Indeed, we almost lost our country -- our way of life, the hope of all the world -- and that is America -- a wonderful land of freedom and opportunity for all who play by the rules, follow the law, and work hard --

These ingrates almost came close to ruining it -- w/ their fake and pitiful sob stories and cries of racism. I'm SO glad that good won out this time ...

That said, I don't trust any of them for a minute and feel they are likely plotting something in revenge. Our country now needs to get to work and repel this invasion and turn it on its ear --

And yes, 5 votes away from passage is PITIFUL!!!!
