DREAM Act to be Introduced by Illinois Senator!

Great news from Washington today: Illinois' own Senator Richard Durbin has announced that he will introduce the DREAM Act as an amendment to the defense spending bill now on the Senate floor (HR 1585). The DREAM Act would offer undocumented students the chance to gain legal status, earn money for school, continue with their college educations, and become permanent residents and eventually US citizens.

It has won support from members of Congress from both parties, including Illinois Senator Barack Obama, but has never been called for a vote. The Senate could vote on DREAM as early as next week, so please make calls in support today, and check back often for updates.

Now why are they able to act so very quickly on something that benefits the illegals, but can't manage to secure the border in the past 6 years?

Good question. Hopefully it'll be attacked in the same nature, and with as much force, as the lastest amnesty bill was.
