So far cloture has not been filed. Here is the site to check for cloture filings.

    Thanks.

It looks like the two motions Reid filed in the lame duck have failed. So is it a done deal that the cloture vote on DREAM will be rejected IF a deal isn't reached on tax cuts and appropriations? That was the thrust of the letter sent by McConnell.

It appears that a deal has now been reached on taxs and unemployment , but that in no way means Jack to this amnesty deal.

From the sound of it the dems caved big time on the deal , the left is not real happy with the leadership and Obomba right now.

The dream act is a separate and ugly entity , Keep making those calls , target the ones that are up in 2012 , let them know we are watching

Keep in mind this deal Dumbo and the dems made has not been voted on yet , it still has to go through the motions , The radical house dems could kill the whole deal also.

Just reported on Fox news that many dems are saying THIS IS NOT A
    DONE DEAL ................The drama continues
    --------------------------------------------

Steve , I'll be here as soon as I can on Wed , before 1 pm pacific time
Usually these big deals take place in the mornings , But I think they will have to have some debate ........
I'm still not sure they will have the time to get this done , Remember cloture only opens debate and amends , Also none of the versions of dream that he is offering have been vetted . gone through committees , or been through the CBO ,
He is basically trying to bring up a blind bill

Question. In the letter the Repubs wrote to Reid didn't they say they would block any Bill until Next Years Budget was passed ?

Yes , that was part of it

Keep in mind that this tax deal is not a DONE deal , it still has to be
    approved by both houses

The question is , Will the repubs keep filibustering until it is passed?

Also there is no agreement on extending the budget

I sure hope the Repubs hold their ground on the budget too.

I am opposed to giving a tax break to the very rich and wish they would just look out for the small business owners with maybe 3 to 5 million income . The very rich can afford to pay a little more in taxes to help lower the Nat'l Debt.

    Wrong

The dems ran that debt through the roof
I am opposed to class economic warfare period

Taking from people to give to others is socialism

The dems want to steal money from anyone they can to fund more social welfare programs LIKE THE DREAM ACT AND OBOMBA CARE

No thanks , let the rich keep their money , I'm doing fine , I don't need their money and I do not want the govt to steal theirs so they can give more bennys to illegals or welfare cheats period.

Welfare is killing our country, over bloated pensions for gov. employees is the same as a welfare check to people who don't need it, Go to any Walmart in less savory neighborhoods and you will be sick to your stomach. Be sure to go on Saturday or Sunday and be sure to take a barf bag!
