On the Numbers USA live-stream, it was suggested that he might attach it to another innocuous piece of legislation, a la the transatlantic slave trade ban in the 19th century, in order to ram it through the Senate. That's another possible strategy.

Like I said we have to keep the pressure on, no matter what Reid has in mind, we cannot afford to let up. The sneaky traitor is desperate so you can bet it is not over.

Even after that they have till Jan 4....the new congress takes over on the 5th...but I wouldn't trust any of them any ways, old dogs or new dogs they are all dogs...

Definitely.

Especially in 2011, with the 2012 presidential election on everyone's mind, I have little to no doubt that some Rs will try to push amnesty in order to appease the pro-amnesty Hispanic voters.

Today, Sen. Reid succeeded in canceling a cloture vote on S. 3992 (Senate DREAM Act). The Senate voted 59 to 40 to table a motion to proceed with cloture. Reid is likely to file a cloture motion on the House DREAM Act amnesty (H.R. 5281), which passed last night by a 216-198 margin. Senate Republicans refused to voluntarily cancel today's vote in order to force Democrats into two votes, the first of which they were certain to lose because of unified Republican opposition prior to passage of tax cut/government funding legislation.
