Janet MurguĂ*a thinks we can build on the bipartisan support from the last round of CIR. Whatever happens, we don’t want undocumented students to be left out of the loop or left to wait for the next time they try comprehensive solutions. DREAM does not take away from S9 so there is no reason why it cannot be done as a standalone if that is what it comes down to.

There is another bill that the DREAM Act can get attached to:

S.7 : A bill to expand educational opportunities for all Americans by increasing access to high-quality early childhood education and after school programs, advancing reform in elementary and secondary education, strengthening mathematics and science instruction, and ensuring that higher education is more affordable, and for other purposes.

Bottomline: DreamActivist will throw its support behind pro-migrant reforms be it piecemeal or comprehensive.
