I kept asking myself why Congress would be so determined to pass the DREAM Act. It certainly wouldn’t benefit big business or special interest groups, given their vested interest in maintaining a constant pool of uneducated slave wage earners for exploitation and record profits.

Considering the pathetic lack of enforcement of our current immigration laws, clearly if this bill passed, there would be no adequate means of verifying information or monitoring these Dreamies to ensure total compliance. Who do they think they are kidding? We can’t even keep track of visa overstays, or process routine passports expeditiously.

The DA would simply be another un-enforced law, riddled with fraud and abuse. How do you verify documents, length of residency, or age of applicant when their entire existence is based on lies and deception?

Everyone will have entered this country prior to the age of 16; will have resided in this country for at least 5 years; and will have received a high school diploma or a GED. Expert forgers who are currently providing illegal aliens with an assortment of fraudulent documents, will also provide them with birth certificates, high school diplomas, and any other form of documentation they may require. This is no secret to our government, and no one will contact schools for verification, or delve into the authenticity of birth records.

Our troops will remain in Iraq for many years, and there is a substantial shortage of military recruits. Let's face it, our military is desperate. What better way to provide a sustainable pool of military personnel? This is precisely why the age eligibility is 12-30.
