On Death Row, This Notorious American Muslim Terrorist Now Wants To Join The Islamic Caliphate

    A soldier who "switched sides"...

    Norvell RoseAugust 29, 2014

He killed 13 people and injured more than 30 others at Fort Hood in 2009. Now the man responsible for that massacre — former Army psychiatrist Nidal Hasan — reportedly wants to join ISIS so he can continue his religious war against “disbelievers.”
In an undated letter apparently written from his prison cell, Hasan tells an ISIS leader that he wants to join the caliphate. The letter was first obtained by Fox News.
“I formally and humbly request to be made a citizen of the Islamic State,” Hasan says in the handwritten document addressed to “Ameer, Mujahid Dr. Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.”
“It would be an honor for any believer to be an obedient citizen soldier to a people and its leader who don’t compromise the religion of All-Mighty Allah to get along with the disbelievers.”
The two-page letter includes Hasan’s signature and the abbreviation SoA for Soldier of Allah.
Is the letter genuine — was it really written by the man convicted of gunning down his fellow soldiers at Fort Hood? Hasan’s lawyer seems to acknowledge its authenticity, telling Fox News:
…the letter “underscores how much of his life, actions and mental thought process are driven by religious zeal. And it also reinforces my belief that the military judge committed reversible error by prohibiting Major Hasan from both testifying and arguing…how his religious beliefs” motivated his actions during the shooting.
Hasan described himself at trial as a soldier who ‘switched sides’ in a supposed war between America and Islam. A military jury sentenced Hasan to death for the shooting rampage at Fort Hood.
Meantime, as the Daily Mail observes:
…a second American reportedly killed while fighting for the Islamic State in Syria was yesterday identified as a father-of-nine from Minneapolis who had vowed to ‘give up this worldly life for Allah’.
Abdirahmaan Muhumed, 29, is believed to have died last week in the same battle as rapper Douglas McAuthur McCain, who grew up in the same city.
WCJ told you about McCain’s death in a post earlier this week.
