Duncan Hunter: A War Monger who is Corrupt?

I have been reading alot of information that clearly suggests that Duncan Hunter is a war monger, and has been linked to corruption. I guess he is a war monger because he benefits from Corruption with military lobbysists.

    Is this true?

I have read a few articles that suggest Duncan Hunter is corrupt and that is why he is into fueling the military industrial complex of attacking other nations. Anybody know for sure?

    I read it here:

    I also read things here:

I don't believe it and never heard it. Probably from a far left blog.

BrightNail, I know your just fishing for confo from other members here about this, but please, post links to what you have read. It's important that everyone knows about these readings so that they can be found to be false (or true, hopefully not!). Thanks.

Also, a big constitution shredder is the military commissions act, I belive Duncan is a big supporter of that.

Nice BrightNail, is that the best you could come up with after 13 terms in Congress? All I see are allegations and innuendos. When you come up with something concrete, I'll be here to listen.

For those of you that haven't been following the recent Ron Paul threads, this is BrightNail's way of playing tit-for-tat. I posted concerns based on stated positions and substantiated facts (voting history) on her favorite candidate and she in turn provides allegations and innuendos on mine.

    wait..

If you are saying that its OKAY TO BE CORRUPT BECAUSE YOU HAVE 13 terms as a congressman... then its a sad state of affairs.

A duck is a duck is a duck. Right?

    Corruption is corruption.

As much as I like Ron Paul, we CANNOT CUT AND RUN in Iraq, and we cannot become ISOLATIONISTS. We cannot withdraw from the U.N., because our VETO VOTE is all that stands between freedom and no freedom for the rest of the world.

I do agree that we should close some of the military bases around the world and bring our people hojme. I do agree with doing away with the IRS and the federal bank. There are lots of things I agree on with Paul, but to be realistic, the items listed in para 1, are too important to cancel out.

MW, BrightNail is right about Duncan backing the Military Commissions Act of 2006. Duncan is applauding as bushpile signs the bill into law; check out the link above. Makes me wonder if we have any good candidates running..will maybe have to reconsider Paul...

I too support the Military Commission Act of 2006. Grant you, it may not be a perfect bill, however, it was designed to aid us in the battle against terrorist. Some people need to wake up to the reality of 9/11. The further the incident get in past history, the more people seem to forget that fateful day when terrorist claimed the lives of almost 3,000 Americans. The bill had the support of all but 7 Republicans in the U.S. House and 1 in the U.S. Senate. The majority of Democrats are weak on border security issues, so a weakness on national security issues shouldn't surprise anyone. I'm sorry, but I find it very disheartening when Americans care more for the rights of terrorist than the safety and well-being of their own countrymen.

The following information will clarify any misconceptions folks may have regarding the MCA:

    [quote]Final Bill

Who the Military Commissions Act applies to
The MCA covers detainees defined as "alien unlawful enemy combatants".

Definition of "combatant" under international law

International humanitarian law (the laws of war) draws a distinction between “combatants,â€

This bill could very well be used against Americans . If prtecting us was what it was about, their would be a law against illegal immigrants , especially those know to have ties to terrorist .

We would not keep inviting into our nation refugees from the nations who hate us and publically demonstrate this hate . In Saudi Arabia you can stand in the streets and shout "death to America " yet you can't demonstrate for human rights against radicals .

I don't have a candidate so far ,but it sure won't be another hollyhood actor or anyone who has managed to stay in congress for over a couple of terms .
