On Wednesday, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL), who chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee held hearings on the supposed merits of failed DREAM Act.

Undoubtedly, under the direction of Sen. Durbin, the room was filled with young people identifying themselves as illegal aliens.

Playing to the cameras, Durbin stated: “When I look around this room, I see America's future. Our doctors, our teachers, our nurses, our engineers, our scientists, our soldiers, our Congressman, our Senators and maybe our President.â€

Durbin said immediately after having asked all young persons in the room to stand if they were currently undocumented aliens who would be eligible to become citizens if the DREAM Act were passed.

And he didn't even have the guts enough to have them arrested. I wonder what else he turns his back on? Then again, maybe I don't want to know.

To think a senator could say such a thing is amazing.

Either he doesn't even realize this or is just pandering to his audience.

Whatever the reason the people in Illinois ought to be embarrassed by this so-called representative.

Trust me [b]Jeanp/b], those of us who are not sheeple are wide awake and totally alert Unfortunately, too many Americans are too lazy to vote, and many that do vote are too lazy to research what the candidates and retread officials represent. They hear a name repeatedly and if they happen to reach their polling place on election day, they simply vote for the name they've heard the most during the campaign season.
