    Subject: Cheap labor???

This pretty much sums up how I feel! Email from a friend.

    Subject: Cheap labor???

The phrase "cheap labor" is a myth, a farce, and a lie. There is no such thing as "cheap labor." Take, for example, an illegal Mexican who sneaks in here with his wife and five children. He takes a job for five or six dollars an hour. At that wage with six dependents he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year gets an "earned income credit" of up to $3,200 free. He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent, food stamps, and free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care. His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school, and require bi-lingual teachers and books that taxpayers provide. He doesn't have to worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance. Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins, and printed material. He cannot be fired, harassed, or sued. He and his family receive the equivalent of $20 to $30 an hour in benefits, while working Americans are lucky to have $5 or $6 an hour left after paying their bills and his, and paying for increased crime, graffitti, and trash cleanup. Cheap labor................................. My ass!

Yea, from reading all these articles I see the majority of the illegals have made more per hour at their jobs in any sector, than I have been able to make at any job in over 9 years now. That in and of itself is now cheap labor from were i sit.

I've noticed that too. They make it sound like they're putting in 15 hr days and getting 2 bucks an hour. Legal or illegal aren't all jobs subject to minimum wage?

Well WTH when many illegals can have jobs upwards of $100K in the utilities depts. of LA? I read about one dear boy who 'risked it all' to come to Las Vegas and fix refrigerators for $35 an hour. Of course Americans don't want to fix refrigerators for $35 an hour. And what about the story of the illegal who started by selling beandip and soups in Arizona who is so flattered that Fox came to his restaurant? Do these people have health certificates and licenses? But Americans have to procure those items if we want to sell food or open a restaurant! RULES, none are being followed! Laws, all are being broken! And that piece of dogdoo McCain is practically on the verge of an all out tantrum because of their 'nest-egg' they paid to social security.
We are NOT a nation of immigrants!
