Why doesn't the Roman Catholic Church get their act together and start looking for the most destitute persons in Central and South America and set up some programs THERE?? Somehow they seem to have the idea that prevailing upon American generosity and forbearance is the only way that they can help someone. If more of them would get off their lazy a----s and venture out beyond the cloister door---like their predecessors once did--they wouldn't be disturbing the delicate balance that America maintains, and which keeps our spirit of generosity going.

Of course, if they did go, pretty soon they would probably be encouraging couples to have fifteen children, so we would be back to square one.
