Motion filed to stop Feds injunction against SB1070
Lawmaker Who Wrote Arizona Immigration Law Intervenes in Obama Administration Lawsuit
Friday, July 23, 2010
By Fred Lucas, Staff Writer
The author of the Arizona immigration law filed a court motion to stop the federal government’s effort to prevent the law from going into effect on July 29.
In April, Gov. Jan Brewer signed a bill to codify federal immigration law into state law. However, the Obama administration filed a lawsuit on July 6 calling the law unconstitutional, contending that only the federal government can enforce immigration rules.
That’s not the case, said Arizona state Sen. Russell Pearce, author of the law and chairman of the appropriations committee.
“As I’ve said all along, SB 1070 makes no new immigration law, it simply enforces the laws already on the books,â€

It just blows my mind that everyone is walking so softly on this issue. When you have criminals they should be rounded up, imprisoned and deported with a warning to never come back. Arizona needs to tell the Feds to stick it where the sun doesn't shine. This is a states rights issue. They have the right to self defense and can do whatever is necessary to remove the threat to their citizens. IMO, Arizona needs to welcome the militias to come in and assist the BP in cleaning up the border. Makes sense to me.
...I call on you in the name of Liberty, of patriotism & everything dear to the American character, to come to our aid...

There is an article featured on AZ Family forum today covering an interview with an AZ Highway Patrolman, Sgt. Jimmy Chavez chastizing the presence of the militia now on the Az/Mexico border. Oddly, the normal comment offering is not present in the article and after the video, at least not yet. I find it amusing, Sgt. Chavez admonishes everyone to let the Federal and State and local law enforcement handle the problem (aka the invasion) He warns the general populace, the regular American citizenry to stay out of the desert. He goes on to lecture the militia are "not trained in law enforcement procedures". Any bets that the mere presence of the militias, not unlike the not yet enforced SB 1070 law puts the fear of God into many of these illegals, or at least puts them on notice. I would also bet that your average militia member can run circles around the average rank and file police officer......as far as defending anything.
Where was Officer Chavez when the illegals and drug lords began over running U.S. soil and killing people? Obviously, the authorities didn't do their job then and they are not doing it now......that is why the militias are now there, and he needs to get educated. Their presence there is NOT illegal, and the last thing any one of them do is impersonate a lawmen....quite the contrary.
