English-The Official Language In Idaho. Oh Really!!!
Thought I would share this with you all.
Last week, I helped my husband fill out the form online to register for unemployment throughout the winter, as he's a roofer and work has dwindled for the winter. You know, one of those jobs the Americans won't do. Anyway, I noticed that he had the option to fill this form out in Spanish.
Oh? Last year, Idaho passed a law making English the official language in our state so I wanted to know why this option was on the form. This morning I called my good state Senator and asked him. He was shocked and said, "Oh yeah? Well, I'll just call the State Labor Department and get this straightened out." Hopefully when my husband logs in to do his weekly report, the Spanish option will be gone.RIP TinybobIdaho -- May God smile upon you in his domain forevermore.

Here in Calif., English is the official language (you'd never know it though, lol). I haven't had to file for unemployment for eons but I do know that at the DMV all the paperwork is offered in Spanish too.

Senator Larry "Toe Tapping, Hand Waving" Craig is an embarrassment to Idaho and the U.S. Senate and besides all of that he is a liar, he promised to resign at the end of September.
